Both of the OTMs limit creativity substantially, as pointed out before.
I go into the contest section, see a voting thread is up, and feel bad for missing a contest.
Then I saw the theme.
Stock Manipulation?
I know that's what most people do in AOTM anyway, but way to shut out all the people who draw stuff by hand/tablet. Also, by limiting people to certain stocks, you're going to end up with A LOT of very similar entries. It shuts down on freedom of method, freedom of expression, and freedom of creativity.

So
Bye
Is the general gist of it
Because fuck if I'm typing some poetic fucking bullshit
Hence why I didn't enter that month. I mean, I'd been planning to enter AOTM for a few months now, but with a lot of the themes I was like "...Really?" especially the Guild banner one. I mean, yeah, photo manip's really all I do... but that's why I wanted to enter AOTM, for a chance to test my skills outside that realm. So seeing the exact thing I was trying to break away from as a theme just.....
I plan on entering this month, though. Just been short on time to work on my entry.
Actually, their contests apparently overlap now. Submission is now three weeks I guess, but voting is still two weeks, and because they still want to have a new contest each month, they put up the Guidelines thread for next month while the photo manip voting thread is still up.
...Which... is very confusing, yes, but still, next contest has technically started already. And my entry is about half done. I find myself getting a huge chunk done and then not touching it for a week, then getting a bunch more done... I do this with a lot of projects of mine.
