Hey maybe Link could be trying to find out how Dampé (the gravedigger in Kakariko Village) died and about the Shadow Temple or something; like why the village is haunted. Also maybe about the Skulltula Family Curse? Ooh maybe Link could be cursed by it and try to cure himself, or someone else is trying to help/cure him, or maybe Link dies because of it and someone else has to become the 'new' Hero Of Time.
