Roleplays I GM
The Elder Scrolls: Vengeance of the Deep (Co-GMing with O|NoSoul)
Mass Effect: Nova (Collaborative GM project among all players)
Bah. My favourites are two of the 'Unseen'
The Marauder and Warhammer.
Am I the only one who thinks power suit battles would be just about the coolest national competition like ever?
Thanks for the siggy Harby san. You definitely know my tastes.

Your signitature makes me want to watch Lucky Star again ...
Anyhow, honestly, I think they would be cool! ...
In video games. I mean, a real life Mech vs. Mech fight? Well, if people are watching they could get injured. Well, what about a protective glass that covers the people who are watching the mech fight? Well considering the caliber and bullet a Mech would fire from a gun ...
A real life Mech vs. Mech fight would be too dangerous, for the audience AND the people piloting the suit. Of course, that's for entertainment and for a national competition, now for country pitting their Mech against Country pitting their mech in a war ...
While Mechs are not practical in any single possible way *Yeah, thanks people who replied to this thread, you ruined my hopes and dreams* it would be nice to see a real life Mech vs. Mech fight, both fighting each other for their own countries ...
...
An idea just popped into my head ...
Modern Warfare 5: Mech Warfare- ok this post of mine is getting too stupid ...

Derrail: MEchanized-infantry/Power-armor:
Well, if employed, they would be limited to operating off the back of a transport & service truck or what would amount to a grossly-oversized IFV... or riding atop a tank, if their armor and bulk makes putting them inside anything both needlessly complicated and redundant.
So now we'd have quite literal 'panzer-grenadiers' supporting armored assaults in built-up and mountainous areas (not always MOUT, since this includes hyper-dense forests wth obstacles and large underground fortifications [although the combat engineers have their own solution])
At first, their deployment would be limited to personel and mission-profiles that would benefit most and the added cost/logistics and lost manpower will have the least impact on the unit's fighting-strength.
This is like, at what point between muskets and AK-47s should you downsize squad-size from 40 soldiers to 4, and still come-out ahead in a firefight?
Kuratas only has battery-power for 3 hours of awesome, after that, you either auto-eject, or you're trapped inside a steel coffin. It also costs 10x as much as a HMMWV /w/ a a dual-mount Mk-19 AGL + GAU-19 on the roof
