So I was thinking about starting up a Chess RP. This would be one in-depth type RP and it would span 3 or 4 threads across the forum. I will give you a brief example of what I mean and if anyone is interested I will give more details. I would have a few different threads, IC, OCC, and I think it would be best if matches took place in the arena. Allow me to explain. The OCC would be normal like anything else, and there would be updates on the first post. The IC would be where your characters interact, and you challenge each other. Also on the first post would be tournament standings, characters W-L ratio, etc. In the IC characters could challenge each other or get matched up and then take their match to the 1v1 Arena. Titling it "whatever I name the RP" character 1 v character 2. Here is where the fun begins. To keep track of moves I would like everyone to use this link http://www.timeforchess.com/gameanal...50&cbqsid=4073 and where it says game history click --- to reset the board. This is how you will keep track of the moves.

Now comes time for the matches. Obviously each match could potentially be hundreds of posts longs so I need dedication from members willing to join, and also it needs to be known that these matches could takes days to finish. I'm not talking about simply moving a pawn forward two paces or a knight to f-3. Advance your army, use that colorful vocabulary you have at your disposal. Your pawn takes a desperation swing at the unaware adversary, bring your game to life. It doesn't always have to be a lengthy post, give me a good 3 to 4 sentences, or hell write me a story. It is up to you two to keep up with your game however, and to eliminate any discrepancy at the bottom of each post restate your move just to make things clear. I wrote this up in quick fashion as I have a concussion at the moment but I would really like to get this off the ground. In the next few days if I see enough interest I will slap together an RP I feel will be a breath of fresh air to the community. If there are any questions/suggestions feel free to post them. In peace and love.

And as far as your chest pieces go, this will be totally up to you. If you want your army from Feudal Japan, the stone age, or even a made up army feel free. As long as you maintain the integrity of the game the pieces can be whatever you wish. I will explain that better too in the future.
