    Seems very interesting :o...
    .
Would something like this be acceptable for a rogue-ish knight character?

I was thinking a great way to keep it melee based instead of "why the heck wouldn't a machine gun dominate the world?" If you had some sort of very common deflector shield in place. That way your archers are actually firing off guided weaponry to force a hit, and your machine gun would be completely worthless.

Or simply make most armours extremely resilient to conventional firepower.

I think I'm interested in joining, if you have room. Might have a vague idea for a character too, but I haven't set anything in stone yet.

I'll keep an eye on this thing, yeah? Check the OOC out and what not.

I suppose you could do that, but the problem lies in that if an arrow can go through armor, then why can't a bunch in rapid succession? On the flip-side, if an armor piercing bullet traveling faster than the speed of sound cannot breech the armor, why the heck would a sharp metal stick? If a sharp metal stick can, why wouldn't you make sharp metal bullets that fire in rapid succession? Or if you have it that an arrow cannot penetrate armor then there really isn't any point playing an archer at all and thus all characters would be stuck playing knights. I'm cool with that, but I don't think everyone would be.

I see the concern, and the most simple solution would be to nullify guns.
