Sorry for being delayed in posting, but it's been a hectic at best weekend, filled with all sorts of fascinating (read: obnoxious) events and evolutions, not to mention getting delayed (again) from going home.
I'll get a post out probably later on today. It's Lunch Time now, so after lunch, gonna be working for a solid stretch, then free time.
Just for clarification, do we use ranks beside the 'squad-leader / pilots' designations for stuff in the squad?
Generally speaking, both squads basically refer to the leader/pilot difference, since a single mecha is treated as the equivalent of a "ship", as it were.
As it stands, you will generally be informed when you need to know specific rankings, and your own ranking isn't really that important in the grand scheme of things. You're higher than your average grunt, but don't expect to go around ordering battleship captains and such. You're like Junior Officers in naval terminology.
And in terms of Initial Stage, you guys have to realize that this is probably (if we get enough people posting) going to have multiple story arcs. This story arc is only the very beginning of a whole shitload of plot that most of you won't even see coming.

Weapons Systems:
Weapons systems are pretty much mounted from tanks of the time, or large swords. You can pretty much mix and match anything that can fit on its arms, though, although good luck powering energy weapons.
Stats: (Stats range from Max, Hi, Mid, Lo, Min. Try to keep it at least in par with the examples presented below. Upgrades will be allowed for Custom Mechas if they are especially well-designed, have an excellent background, or are just plain old cool.)
