Looking for One On One's [Details Inside]

As the title would suggest, I'm looking for some one on ones. Lately, I've been patrolling around the One on One interest check section I find that there's a huge demand for romance and not enough demand for any sort of ongoing adventures... even a one-off short RP. The ones that I do snag tend to die out pretty quickly due to them either migrating to romance or simply becoming inactive for such a prolonged amount of time that I forget. Anyhow, I'm looking for one or two other roleplayers to begin one on one's with to occupy my time between posting for my Casual Group RP.

My most important requirement is that you must at least be able to roleplay on the level of Casual. The odd spelling and grammar error will confuse me, but it won't totally ruin the RP unless you don't clarify what you mean in your posts. I do not expect anybody to keep up three paragraph posts for the entire RP, and you really don't need to. Dialog may be shortened to single sentences or short paragraphs, while introductions to the RP itself or any new scenery or objects may be several paragraphs.

What I'm looking for/What I want out of you:

Character Development:
I expect our characters to have power and strength, but not enough that all adversity means nothing to them. If a character is so strong that they have no room to grow, there is nothing interesting about the story.

An Intricate Plot:
I love plots that get complicated. The plot, in this case, will be caused when something personal to the characters happens or anything that causes personal interest. A loved one is kidnapped, friends are in trouble, or perhaps the threat of imprisonment or death looms over unless they can stop the threat and clear their name. Maybe the characters seek a treasure, or to defeat a powerful enemy that threatens an entity, person, or place. Along the way, the story becomes less linear and about going from point A to point B. Perhaps Point B changes place, or it gets more difficult to get there than originally expected, or something is hindering the character's progression towards the ultimate goal. These kinds of diversions are what make the plot more interesting to me. Gotta have it.

If you don't have the kind of time to spare for a one on one that I actually plan on at least getting somewhere with (if not finishing) then you need not join.

First, Brainstorming:
We're probably going to have to come up with a plot that we both like together before we roll with it. If we don't both enjoy the setting then we're probably not going to get anywhere with the RP.

What I'm not looking for:

A Romance Subplot:
I understand that it's been really popular lately, but know that I am not at all interested in doing anything remotely close to a romantic subplot. It's not that I hate romance, but the fact that I greatly dislike roleplaying it. I know that it adds depth to a story if done right between the right to characters, but between two roleplayers it just becomes awkward for me. Unfortunately no negotiation on this.

Anything strictly realistic:
And I mean that in terms of the setting. If we're doing a strictly modern setting with no fantasy or sci-fi elements in it, I will get bored incredibly fast. I like all my RP's to be garnished with a huge helping of fantasy. If you're not into that then you need not join.

Fandoms:
As much as others may enjoy roleplaying in their favorite game, anime, or book universes, I only enjoying playing them, watching them, or reading them (in respective order). It's going to take some serious convincing to get me to roleplay in any fandom, and if it's an anime you should probably not try-- I've been far too jaded to the whole anime scene. I consider roleplaying a fandom to be... almost entirely unoriginal work, and therefore it will frequently fail to interest me. Suggest at your own risk, of course.
