Klaus nodded. "We'll just talk about it later." He then stepped back on hand in his suite pocket. When Chris spoke, Klaus rolled his eyes. This dude was full of himself, wasn't he? Sighing, Klaus put his hands behind his back. This man was really testing his patience. "Yes, Robert. He is. You're lucky that you wasn't with him. You should really be more.. well, less out there." He said, spreading hid arms out as a smirk played on his face. When Lia said she sometimes wished she hadn't saved them, Klaus noticed the small amount of hurt that showed in Robert's face, but it went away quickly. Klaus shrugged. "You can always start. Who's stopping you?" He asked and watched as Robert left after Lia instructed him to do so. When they were alone, Klaus nodded in agreement. "That makes both of us." He said as he followed her back up to the party.
Klaus grabbed up his own champagne glass before clinking it with Lia's and taking a sip. Outside the door, things were getting intense between the human girl and his brother. Klaus stayed behind Lia, in case things got too messy, as she walked over to them. After Adrianna was back with Damon, he took Lia's hand. "We haven't had out dance for this wonderful evening, love." He said with a playful smug look. He brought her to where other couples were dancing. Klaus resting his hand on her waist, pulling her closer to him so there was no open space, and he took her hand in his own, raising it up as they began spinning and dancing to the music. "So, tell me more about why you won't involve yourself with the five." Klaus asked in a soft whisper. Even with the strongest of vampire ears, they couldn't be heard over the music. When it stopped, he stopped. The mayor patted the microphone to make sure it would work good. When she checked, she smiled at the audience. Beside her, the former Miss Mystic Falls held the sash and crown.
"Can I have your attention everyone? The night is far from being over, but now I would like to announce our new Miss Mystic Falls. She'll then start the next song off dancing with her escort in the center of the room. Alone." Mayor Lockwood said. She then slit open a white envelope. "Our new Miss Mystic Falls for 2012 is..." She paused and unfolded the slip of paper. "Adrianna Webster!" She said and everyone applauded. Rebekah looked up and glared when they called her name. She didn't really deserve it, did she? Rolling her eyes, she clapped her hands sarcastically a couple times before letting them fall back to her sides.
Adrianna glared at Kol and was about to protest before Lia led her away. When Lia asked if she was alright, she shook her head. "No. I'm not." She said, stepping back from Lia. She let her shoulders slump. "You lied to me. Why couldn't you tell me what he really was instead.. of you know." She said softly, then cleared her throat. "Friendships are about trust. If I can't trust you, I can't be friends with you." After she said that, Adrianna turned and met back up with Damon. She watched as Lia walked off, then turned back to him when he asked if she was alright. "Yes, I'm fine." She said with a small smile. "Thanks." She wanted to ask him why he didn't do anything either, why we stayed with Rebekah instead of helping her realize what Kol really was sooner, but she decided to later. After the dance and the music stopped, the mayor was preparing to announce the new Miss Mystic Falls. "This is it." She whispered, glancing at Damon. Adrianna didn't really have any hope for winning. She knew it was highly unlikable, there were so many other gorgeous girls here. So that was why she was stunned when Mayor Lockwood called out her name. It took her a few minutes to comprehend before she made her way up front.
When getting there, the former Miss Mystic Falls placed the sash around her and carefully put the crowd on her head. "Everyone, give it up for your new Miss Mystic Falls!" She said, and another round of applause came. Smiling, she looked out at everyone. "Now, Kol Mik-" Before the mayor finished saying his name, she leaned over and let her know her escort changed. After nodding, the mayor changed the name. "Will Damon Salvatore please make his way up here for the dance?" She said. When he did, Adrianna took his hand and positioned herself. The soft and slow melody started playing. Adrianna smiled at him. "I don't think I ever won anything like this before." She said softly with a light laugh.
