Would be doing it alternate history to allow for a fresh take on it and freer opportunities? If so, I'm very interested, however if not I'm still interested. Curious to hear how you will work out some of the game mechanics.
Hey guys!
I'm not an American, but I've always been interested in the colonisation of the States - plus, I've been playing Assassin's Creed 3, and it made me think about this some more. I was thinking of an RP idea, based around the colonisation of America, sort of like.. during the time when Britain was fighting over territory with France. There'd be a variety of opportunities to play various different sorts of characters - from Native Americans to Candlestick makers!
Anyways, if you're interested, drop a comment below or send me a PM, and we can hammer out some plot ideas!

Definitely interested. Was there a specific time period you had in mind?
Off-topic: But if this fizzles out for some reason, there are other time periods that could work just as well (or better) for an American history RP. How about one set in the gold mining camps of the 49ers in California? Plenty of opportunity for diverse characters and conflict.
Could be interested; would need a bit more persuading though.![]()
I don't bite...I nibble.
I just realised I sounded like a youtuber with the whole 'drop a comment' thing, and that I misspelled Frontier in the title. I'm not retarded, I promise! xD
@Arxia; alternate history? I don't want to change anything too major, but we could maybe change the outcomes of a few battles - like.. Texas could be owned by France? XD I
@Cambyses; I'm gonna stick with the 'Frontier' idea for a bit, and if it goes well, we could even move the same cast of characters (along with a few new ones, of course) to an RP about the Revoloution. XD
@Cath; You have the same name as my mum. XD But, when I get to a computer in a few hours, I'll be sure to work on some alluring plot twists and ideas.
Speaking of plot - any ideas, guys? And what sort of characters did you plan on playing, so I can try and work everyone in.

Ok, so pre-ARW. That gives us a nice 150 year period to work with. I personally would prefer something in the 18th century, as opposed to early colonization. I thinking about playing a native character, and I don't want to write pages of misery and depression due to the collapse of society from epidemics.
How about basing the RP around the French and Indian War? We have a pre-established central conflict and a cast of characters to work around, but at the same time room to improvise (especially if you're ok with the RP changing the outcome of history).
That works. I was thinking of playing a Recoat, or an ex Redcoat, at least. We can brainstorm some more when I get to a computer.

Could I play multiple characters?
And could I play as George Washington...? Please...?????????
Uhm.. I want to try and steer away from playing as major historical figures. Plus, we're doing it in the French/Indian War. XD
Multiple characters should be okay; depends how many you mean.
George Washington played a major part in that war too! He was a young quick to learn officer that came from an old Virginian family!

Plus, if we did do alternate history, major characters could easily come up to play!
