"So Fair. So Balanced." - Everything I do ever shut up.
Hi everyone, Can Tokuisei create animated shadow creatures via the stealing of someones shadow. The person who's shadow is stolen would die in seven days time, and the way to survive would be to defeat the animated shadow beast that spawns from them. If used on a willing target, the shadow beast would lie in wait of the allies shadow, and would obey the person who's shadow it resides in ASWELL as Tokuisei. I'll write up the full ability description if my concept sounds acceptable.
Hidarii is kicking ass. You go girl.

Something for Tokuisei later down the road. Just want it approved.
=====================================
Name of Technique: Shichi Jisshireikage (The Seven Embodiments of Shadow)
Type of Jutsu: Ninjutsu, Fuinjutsu, Hiden
Rank: S
Range: N/A
Nature Type: N/A
Handseals: Dragon, Hare, Serpent, Rat, Dog, Ram, Bird, Tiger, Ox, Horse, Monkey, Chakra Contact with carriers Shadow. (EG: Touch, shooting a chakra infused arrow, piercing it with another shadow or whatever.)
Description: A defensive, yet offensive ability that protects, or harms whomever it is used upon. Not likely to be used in battle, but more as a preemptive countermeasure. Tokuisei has devised a way to give spirit to shadows. But they are nothing more than a complex seal that gives form, and power to shadows... Artificial intelligence. If created on a knowing, willing target, the ability does no harm, infact, it is helpful to have the Embodiment reside within. Living in their shadow, though, it constantly saps away at the bearers chakra. But will listen to the carrier's will, or Tokuisei himself.
However on an unwilling carrier that is when the fun begins. First, the carrier will be rid of their shadow. A blessing perhaps in the case of fighting Tokuisei, or any Nara. However, that is not the case as a bloodthirsty beast rises from what should be their shadow. This link with their shadow to the beast, the beast will feed off the enemies chakra at a rapid rate. (Eight percent a minute.) Until satiated, this of course, will never happen. That also comes with the cost of the beast having abilities of their own, being more than a chakra dump, they are a force to be reckoned with, their strength easily equal to that of a jonin, though their powers not many, each of the seven has singular skillset taken to extremes.
==========
All of the Embodiments have one shared power, they can all lurk and reside in any shadow. However they can only be formed out of the shadow of a living thing. They also share the fact that a seal will be placed over the heart of each carrier, this is the bind that links beast and human. And if the seal is removed, the shadow can be dispelled, the seal is simple to remove, however it can only be removed by a willing carrier. As they will be the only ones to have the key revealed to them.
Now, the specialized powers are between seven shadows each unique in its own way.
Spoiler
The first shadow, Superbia. A Shadow that will not give up until it proves itself greater than all else. This is the most durable of the shadows, aside from Gula. A beast with blades on nearly every limb. It has undying pride to prove its worth. Superbia will fight until death even against an unwinnable battle, and has a sense of protecting whatever it is told to protect. The strength of this isn't however in its ungodly ambition. But rather in the fact that its blades do more than just cut flesh and bone. A single hit from Superbia will sever and taint the chakra system, quickly turning a battle that should be un-winnable into one of one simple thing. A contest of strength.
The second shadow, Gula. A large shadowy beast, dwarfing all but the most giant of humans in size, standing at a mighty ten feet high, and the same wide. A gaping maw stretched upon its face. It is a tank by every sense of the word. The beast is durable beyond all belief, its weakness, but also its strength, lies in its mouth. It eats chakra, feeding upon it, and whatever is sent towards it. And the saliva from the gaping maw acts as a paralytic, slowly halting the enemy should they be drenched in the beasts spit. However, the weakness is this, injure the mouth. That is its most sensitive part. And doing so extensively will destroy the beast. Aside from this though, the beast has massive lower body strength, and if forced to fight, it will fight by slamming into you all its might. Making it dauntingly fast, though, its attacks always completely direct.
The third shadow, Luxuria. A shadow that isn't quite as offensive as the others. Luxuria has a unique ability in espionage. It is able to perfectly replicate itself into the shape of anyone from just a picture. Sight works great swell. Chakra signatures will be mimicked, and skillsets replicated. Even memories can be told. However, this is a simple trick, though more detail is only usually available via a smaaple of chakra, a data sample if you will. Luxuria's true potential however, is in its normal form, able to bend light around itself as to cloak into invisibility, the only thing that should escape is sound. This can be done in two ways. (Click, Click.) An assassin through and through, lusting after the detriment of its enemies. Only revealing itself during attack. Its body giving it seven spear-like tentacles in place of hair, that each can extend up to fifteen feet. This makes Luxuria a useful ally in war time, but even more so in times of peace.
The fourth shadow, Invidia. A shadow that is more of a nuisance than any of the others. The shadow has been coded with knowledge of many many abilities. And its creation with three arms is not without purpose. Multicasting. It cannot have a superior strength. Its abilities are basic. However, if it cannot have it, nothing can. It had an overwhelming sense of destruction. It want everything gone. And with its abilities it will reduce all to nothingness. The shadow can perform up to three simultaneous techniques. And has the five basic elements at its disposal. Its physical strength, and speed are also not to be underestimated, though durability is lacking. Abilities available are:
Spoiler
The fifth shadow, Avarita. A shadow that can only be considered as greedy. It wants nothing but to take what it's enemy knows. It has an unquenchable thirst for more knowledge. And is the only shadow that Tokuisei created with the potential to learn. Whatever it sees, it will remember, and whatever it samples. It can replicate. Meaning, a direct hit from Avarita is potentially the worst thing that can happen should Avarita have witnessed your strengths. A requirement of sight and sample to replicate anything. Paired with that, Avarita has immense speed on its side, faster than many Jonin, it runs on all fours, and with its many sharp claws, close combat with it will shred most enemies. The shadow will only grow in strength the longer it lives. However, whatever it learns will only remain in its mind for one week.
The sixth shadow, Acedia. The most peculiar of the shadows, in that it rarely ever fully emerges from the shadow in which it resides. Grasping on weightlessly to random parts of its carriers body, trying to make eye contact cosstantly with the enemy, but always hiding behind its carrier, so as not to be damaged. As the beast is quite frail. Its power comes completely from the fact, that it will hinder its opponent. Having the ability to project an aura which slows beings perceived as enemies sense of time. They will, through more exposure, see the world as getting faster and faster, and more and more impossible to dodge, the exact opposite of what one would expect from an enemy in prolonged battle. The fact is though, nothing is changing in the real world. Their mind is just processing slower and slower, more and more skewed in the enemies, making them increasingly vulnerable. Pair this with the ability to apply this technique upon eye contact. And its ability to use the shadow sewing ability, makes it a formidable, albeit supportive ally. Take note that the more it emerges, the stronger its abilities get. Meaning the more powerful the perception altering is, the more intense the flames from making eye contact, and the stronger in power the tendrils are. Just as a blade is more powerful when unsheathed, as Acedia unsheathes its body, the way to victory is stolen away.
The final shadow; number seven, Ira. A shadow that grows in strength, and size the weaker its carrier is, used against an enemy, the battle will quickly scale into near un-winnable. However paired with a willing carrier, this beast becomes one of the greatest allies in a tough fight. However, a growing strength comes with a weakness, no matter how strong the beast gets, the stronger it gets, the more vulnerable it becomes. The more easily it is to destroy. It is purely strength based, speed however is not negligible. At near death, Ira can grow to sizes equivalent to that of theGedo Statue. Its only urge however is to destroy, that means collateral damage will not be cared for, making even a danger to unleash as an ally as you grow weaker. The decision has to be made, shall a being of pure wrath be unleashed, or should if be forever hidden in the shadows?
Weakness: On willing carriers, the shadow reduces their chakra pool by fifteen percent. Costs twelve percent chakra to invoke initially. Even willing carriers will die if their shadow is seperated from them after seven days, making it a risky technique against those skilled with sealing techniques.
Is the chakra drain only when they are not hiding in the shadows for willing receivers? Since they have the strength of Jounin, it might be a bit much for them to be put on lower ranked characters without a limit.
Also, are they like... tangible? Like... could you engage them in normal hand to hand combat? And for enemies how are they linked to the person during combat?

I'm assuming for the first part you're referring to the eight percent per minute. This part does not apply to willing receivers, which constantly feed the beasts with 15% of their own chakra pool.
The eight percent per minute is only forcibly taken from an enemy. The shadows are linke to the carrier upon Tokuisei infusing his chakra (imprinting the seal) onto their shadow. Their shadow which is naturally bound to them will then transfer the linking seal over their heart, and that is how it works for either a willing or unwilling carrier. A seal, appearing to be a black tattoo will appear over their heart. And the seal can be dispelled if you know the combination, therefore removing the shadow without having to kill it. I'll outright say the combination is just the handseals listed reversed. Killing the shadow returns the shadow to the owner, regardless if a willing or unwilling carrier.
And yes, the shadows are completely tangible, same as the shadow sewing technique, only more defined, and with sentience.
Also Isee your concern on these being put on people such as genin, but to balance that out, compare the chakra pool of a genin to a jonin, 15% of a genin's pool would be simmilar to say 5% of a jonin's, as such the power would scale down. Though not by much, the beasts will always have atleast chunin level strength. However, using this isn't just a "hey, have a guardian." It's a dangerous technique that has its strengths and weaknesses. As such the beasts would only be paired with, or against someone of equal or greater power. Complimenting, or hindering them in the best way possible.
Mkay, then that seems relatively fine. Alex might need to chime in with some stuff, since there might be some stuff I'm not seeing for potential combinations for trouble.
I like the idea though.
