Race: Changeling: A member of an ancient race of shape changers universally feared and hunted by all other races except the Elves. Although Elves show the Changelings a degree of hospitality they do not trust them completely and have no remorse over having to kill one.
Class: Ascetic Monk/Chirurgeon of Asclepius
God: Asclepius
Appearance: Eryx Baird naturally is a tall, thin man standing nearly 7 feet tall with pale yellow skin and large black eyes. Currently he looks like a human male, with long black hair in dreadlocks that hang down to the middle of his back and deep set dark eyes, and a tawny skin color.
Personality: Eryx is a quiet, introspective man who is quiet religious and follows his religious beliefs. As per the Asclepius vows, the monks, and nuns pledge medical help to all who ask for it. Asclepius ascetics practice healing arts as part of their path of enlightenment. Often they cross battle lines to heal those who are wounded and are in need of medical attention.
Spirit Animal: The Humming Bird for the wisdom the humming bird represents- Ability to heal by using light from mouth. Endurance over long journeys. Ability to fly into small places to heal. Joy. Happiness. Love.
Spirit World: An Elysium where the as a humming bird he can flit from one plant to another transferring pollen and granting renewed life to each plant.
Equipment: He wears gray robes and black fur-wraps on his feet of the Chirurgeons of Asclepius. A rope belt and a long, knotty pine staff wrapped with black leather.
Skills: Up to two.
Major- Chirurgeons are healers who augment their abilities with arcane magic. They use their magic to tend to their patients. Their prowess with the positive energy of healing makes them moderately effective against undead, but they are otherwise not very adept in combat.
Minor- Herbalism is a crafting skill. It allows Eryx the ability to make a variety of potions, poultices, salves, balms, elixirs, and so forth, whenever raw ingredients and a recipe are at hand. With study and experimentation he can create more difficult recipes to produce particularly potent items.
Magic: Shape change- can alter shape and appearance to be as small as 3’5 tall to as tall as 10 feet. This ability takes a great deal of energy and leaves Eryx weakened and tired, as it takes 10 minutes to alter his shape.
Other magic he has shown is tied to his beliefs and have been light based spells of healing.
Strength: His compassion for other people and races and an unwavering belief in his God and the healing powers he has been given on his path towards enlightenment. Eryx is considered an exceptional surgeon and healer.
Weakness: His naivety in believing that all people are basically good and he trusts too easily.
History: Eryx fled from a mob of humans who had discovered his secret and were going to burn him at the stake, when he came across the camp of a monk of Asclepius who protected him. Eryx having led a hard life until this time found the peaceful and helpful nature of the monk unique and interesting. When the monk defended him to the villagers who needed his healing talents, Eryx decided to follow the teachings of the followers of Asclepius and became a monk himself.
