It's not set in one place, but the start was just going to be in some unnamed forest.
I need a city to visit for the second chapter, which will basically be Baldun chasing down an ancient Dwarven treasure, finding and interrupting a criminal ring completely by accident when trying to find the Dwarf he's looking for.
The third chapter will be him venturing back out into the wild again, somewhere preferably nearby, where he will find a shrine to the Dwarven god which coincidentally is the one Forsoff finds. There he is given the chance to create a weapon and armor by a mysterious dwarf (he doesn't know it's the god.)
The fourth chapter finds him find the treasure pretty early on, but then happen upon a fledgling dwarven settlement under siege by goblins. He helps protect the village (after some prompting)
I won't say what happens in the fifth, as it doesn't matter, but I assume that's enough info for what I need to know.

Most dwarven culture is in the middle regions of Allaria and there is also a lot of forests there so it would probably work as a setting for all your shitz. For the parts with the village and the dwarven shrine, most of their civilization is underground but they would probably have small towns and such (Not big enough to be marked on the map) above ground if you want to have the whole thing set above ground. If you are wanting to have the village and such below ground, Goblins may not be the best choice as, as far as they have been written out, they are the more the foresty types... so you might want to use some other sort of antagonist.
Shhhhh, sweet children...
Bah, bot goblins always run amok under ground. Not many would suffer their ugly hides above.
That and they can live just about anywhere. Freedom for all goblins!
Are these forest Goblins by any chance based of the red goblins in goblin commander? Those guys were awesome.

You'd probably expect Drow to be wrecking shit underground too... but unless I am remembering wrong, they are not that way either.

He might have said the dragonoids live underground, they could be causing problems

If you are waiting on me I will try and get something up today/tonight.
The writer who cares more about words than about characters, action, setting, and atmosphere is unlikely to create a vivid and continuous dream; he gets in his own way too much; in his poetic drunkenness, he can't tell the cart- and its cargo- from the horse.

The village is above ground, but it's only a settlement built in the forests at the time of the story. It has a mine however, which is where I was going to have the goblins originate.
I can always have them come out of the forests at night instead.
