~Everything is Colorful~
A kind of murder mystery RP where many teens are seeing dreams related to the crimes that occurred. Only they will have the information necessary to bring the culprit to justice.
~Plot~
August 27th, school started at Arcus Aurelia. A new private school only into its second year of existence. A single week later, a large incident occurred that would color the rest of the school year, and perhaps the rest of the schools entire history. It started with a girl who was filled with color, and a man who was envious of it. Tired of living in a dull, gray world.
September 1st, Saturday night when most were asleep, a bizarre chain of events happened at Arcus Aurelia. First, A bomb threat was called in from a nearby house. This house turned out to have been broken into, and later when the school was searched, there was no bomb to be found.
Next, the electives building at Arcus Aurelia was lit on fire by a figure in a trench coat, as seen by witnesses. This figure fled into the building when police arrived to search for the bomb, and was nowhere to be found later. The fire was taken out in a hurry to prevent a possible trigger of the bomb reported inside, but once it was out there appeared to be no bomb on the premises.
Lastly, after all of this was over, a group of police officers stumbled upon a pool of blood in the gym, with bloodied footprints leading out of the nearby window. No body was nearby. By then, it had begun to rain, and the trail of blood stopped once the culprit had left the window.
A number of unrelated and downright silly rumors accompanied those three at the school that night, happening all over town. A relatively small town with few inhabitants was victim to several misfortunes in the night. A police chase from another city ended with the culprit crashing into someones home. A living room fire in a prominent house caused a large ruckus when a teen forgot to put out the fireplace before bed. Several small time crimes occurred, to the point where the mysterious events of that day were all that anyone talked about the following week.
There were a few teens though that had even more interesting stories to tell of that weekend. On Saturday night, they were all asleep in bed when the events started. All of them saw similar dreams. They saw the city as it was during the day, inhabited by gray faceless people. The world lacked color. Sometimes someones excitement would cause them to shine, sometimes a persons anger would make them simmer, but the world was a dark and dreadful place. And then, there was this girl.
A girl that they saw at multiple points during the night, wandering the town. Eventually, their attentions stopped wandering and paid attention to one interaction with this one individual. He was grey, and simmered with anger. Instead of looking at her and being happy to bask in the happiness and brightness she provided, he was envious of that brightness. He sought to destroy something, and she thwarted him. Soon they all saw first hand the dreadful scene in the gym reported by the news the next day. She girl filled with color bravely faced down the man of ambition. He produced a blade, and stabbed her. Colors as bright as the rainbow shot out from her body, eventually separating so that individual colors could be seen. The colors shot out like fireworks, crashing into the man who stabbed her. Shooting out the window. Shooting into the eyes of those who watched the scene.
Finally, her eyes grew tired. She looked directly at those watching her, and each saw a single color reflected in her eyes.
The dream ended.
~Plot(cont.)~
The basis of this RP is that every night, or every few nights, those who have the ability will see dreams. Some dreams will be posted in the RP, where every person saw them. Other dreams will be sent via PM to the character who saw it, and other players will be notified that blue or whatever their color was, received a dream. No one will know what colors the other RPers are until a character reveals it in RP. In fact, if a conversation is private, I advise that any section of conversation that reveals a color to another character(Say Blue tells another character what color he saw in the girls eyes) is done via PM for at least the beginning sections of the RP. Until groups of people of colors arise and its inconvenient to talk about it like that.
If you have a favorite color, feel free to request it in PM. Not everyone will be colored, some will be grey depending on the number of members. If there are 8-10, all will probably be colored. After that, it'll be difficult to come up with new colors with a visible difference, so I'll divide colors between some characters and make others gray. You also will not know until the RP begins, unless I give you a special role in the RP. (Such as being the murderer, or another important role.) You are welcome to refuse any special role, but please do not indicate any kind of preference in the thread on whether you want to be something or not. Write as if your story for what happened that night could just as well be an alibi or true. Lastly, if you're REALLY eager for a special role, please PM me your inspiration and details on how you would play it, and I'll take it into consideration.
Before the RP begins, feel free to PM each other or talk in thread about how students may already be connected. A week has passed even for first years. If there's any pre-existing connection you make in private, please inform me about it(I will be kind of plotting a murder mystery after all). That way, plot related pre-existing connections will not stand out as suspicious. I will make it a rule that at least one be made for each person, I advise you do it with someone you have Rped with before.
The rest of the protocol will be in the rules. Once I have an idea of our cast, I'll start the RP with the dreams of Sunday night(after any special additions to Saturday) and then the RP will start with school Monday morning.

~Rules~
1: No revealing what color you are to other Rpers OOC under any circumstance, except with direct permission from myself.
2: Do not ask for colors, or special roles within the thread. You may ask in PM if you desperately want one.
3: If you cannot accept that you will not know what color you are, or even if you have one until the RP starts, please refrain from joining.
4: Maintain advanced level RP replies at all times. Even if a situation warrants a smaller reply, please make sure that the grammar, punctuation, and characterization are up to par. Thank you.
5: Until I say so, if a character tells another that they are a color, make it happen in PM. Also, make the Rp in thread continue as if it never happened as much as possible, even if this means doing large stretches of RP in PM's. Please also inform me when this happens.
6: On that note, no one can have their character reveal to another character what color they are for the first two days in RP. This is to prevent any rushing to any kind of conceivable group. Come up with some sort of excuse for why they didn't share the information.
7: All first year characters must have at least one pre-existing connection. All second year characters must have at least three. Discuss this with your fellow Rpers before the RP starts. If any connections are meant to be secret, PM me about them after discussing them in private.
8: I'll accept homophobic attitudes in your characters, but not from the RPers themselves. If you cannot accept homosexual relationships or even transgendered individuals being Rped, please refrain from joining. I want this RP to be a happy place for such people to be Rped.
9: Unless the relation exists before the RP even begins(pre-existing) please do not begin any new romantic relationships at least for the first two days in RP. As with the whole 'keep your colors to themselves' rule, find an excuse for your character to have on your own.
More rules may come before the RP starts. If I update it, I'll inform everyone in the thread.

Since the school only even opened last year the oldest students in attendance are second years. The schools schedule(because I feel like it) will be like in Japanese schools, though the school will be run like an American school. By this I mean, a Second year is equivalent to a Junior year high schooler here in both progress and age. High school lasts three years. However, students move between classes instead of remaining in one while teachers move room to room.
Please keep rule 7 in mind while creating a character. There are a significantly lower amount of second years compared to first years, but they would have already created friends inside the school. If you don't feel you can meet that requirement before the RP begins, then please make a first year instead.

Appearance: Shou has incredibly unmanageable blonde hair and bright blue eyes. His face is always expressive, usually broadcasting his happy emotions to the world around him. Shou is also not afraid to cry, and out of most men at the school he is probably the one who has been seen the most with tears falling down his cheeks. When looked at closely, his already blue eyes have streaks of an even lighter blue, which some girls say is what gives them the shine they have when he smiles.
He has a thin build, only built for running small distances at best. His grades in PE are never that great. Of note is that he tries to wear longsleeve clothing as much as possible, even on hot summer days. Scars are visible on his wrists from a suicide attempt during middle school. Though he has them out on display every PE period, he still goes through efforts to hide them any chance he has to wear his normal clothes.
Personality: Bouncy, bubbly, Shou is an actor and a mood setter. He goes to great lengths to cheer someone up when they're down, and it can even be said that he's ditzy in his enthusiasm about all sorts of things. He will gossip like crazy, but keep a secret when asked. He's horrible at asking a girl out, yet he can play just about any part on stage. Shou lives, for the most part, a very simple life. He is proud of his good looks, and even brags about modeling once or twice when he was younger, before the scars on his wrist scared off the agents.
Introspective is not something you would expect of Shou, but in truth, he is very introspective. He cares very much about how he looks, and is in truth very vain. More than anything, he cares for his hair. Also, in secret, he wishes he could have been born a girl. Its not a desire so strong that he would voice it, and he believes his body is too manly for himself to become a girl, but he wishes about it nonetheless. Compliments about prettiness or cuteness make him happier than anything else, and though he plays the role of a cool manly person well, he wishes for nothing more than to throw that role aside. Compliments about how strong he is, or about how handsome he is do little to make him happier.
That desire was what almost drove him to suicide back in middle school, but since then he's become way bubblier. He is happy, and wants those around him to be happy. He also wishes for a relationship where him being girly on the inside will be valued, and not something he has to hide.
History: Middle school ended on a hectic note for Shou. He started out school as a wallflower, with long hair he was always mistaken for a girl. In fact, it was because of his long hair that he got scouted to play in the theater. They were doing a genderbending play where every male part was played by women, and every female part by men. He was chosen after trying out for the lead female role, and the play became a hit. The day after the plays last showing, he cut his hair short because a girl he liked told him so, and then dated her for a month before the two broke up.
Shou was popular. He loved acting, and soon it became his passion. Once his hair was cut, he was even scouted for modeling by an agent that had seen his play. Two years passed like that, and it was during his last year of middle school that he decided to try it. He went to school wearing a wig and a dress. He looked ridiculous. By then his body had developed. His chest was obviously that of a mans. His legs had begun growing hair. His friends took it as nothing more than a joke. They laughed at him, and he laughed with them. That night when he got home, he cut his wrists desperately in an attempt to kill himself, was found by his parents, and went to the hospital.
He finished middle school from home, and transferred as far away from the rampant rumors about him from his old middle school. He found a school that was just starting. No chance of upperclassmen who knew him. At least a year before anyone who lived so far away may stumble across him here. He fit into his old role at his new school like he never left it. He became the president of the theater club, and organized a play before the end of the year. He also grabbed a seat on the student council that he never signed up for, mainly because of his popularity, and the fact that there were under two hundred students for the first year.
Needless to say, he dreaded the chance of someone from his old school coming to his new school, but after a week had passed the worries had ebbed a little. He could handle it. He didn't need to explain himself to anyone, and besides.
He couldn't become a girl, and he had come to terms with that.

Blue rectangle on right is location of school building. It is three stories high, with each higher year having its own story in the school. The third story is still being renovated, so construction workers are often up there building above the classes going on below. Access is denied to the third floor and roof.
Teal rectangle on the top is the club building with two floors, the building that had part of it burned. The classrooms for the Art club on the first floor and the Astronomy club on the second have been temporarily closed for repair, both were moved to vacant classrooms on the second floor of the main building.
The yellow rectangle is the gym. It is the only physical education facility on campus, and for now students either change in their classrooms or the storage rooms in the gym(usually girls stay in the classroom to change, while guys change in the storage). Whenever weather permits it, students will often walk a few blocks over to a local park during their PE period instead of use the gym.
There is a fountain in front of the club building, and the entryway leads into a parking lot. There is a side exit/entryway that the teachers go through when leaving the campus during PE class. The school wall is made of concrete, and though the top is difficult to grip, it is easy to climb if you can jump high enough or get an arm on top of it. The gates are wooden, and the back gate was damaged during the fire, but is still being used.
~Clubs on Campus~
Arcus is a very club oriented school. Though they have state of the art equipment all around the block, their focus is definitely cultural. Their very first year of operation they ran a culture festival that made a major profit. Now though, that saved cash must go to repairing the Club building instead of the upgrades for the sports teams they had planned.
This club list may be updated or changed as the RP progresses. Students are welcome to apply for a club themselves, so anyone wanting to rp a 2nd year can come up with a club and run it by me, and 1st years can always create a club at some point during the RP.

I've decided there won't be a club list. There's an entire two story building devoted to them, so go ahead and assume it exists if it sounds like a common club. If you're unsure, or your entire characters background relies on a clubs existence, then ask first.
So you know, all clubs need a teacher to supervise to exist, along with faculty approval. Approved clubs get their own room, and they also get funding for club activities, depending on what the club does.
Aaand... that's all the mostly irrelevant background info you need to know in regards to that. Bumping again to try and get members.
