A pity, no death, but at least now it was just a warning shot. No one ha questioned him about any of it though news of Otis's little accident spread around the workplace quite fast. Everyone wrote it off as a drunken incident and no one even suspected him. It was just about the end of the working day when Astair finally left, held up a little by some documents that needed to be sorted. He froze for about a split second when he saw Otis in his wheelchair. Immediately he rushed to him, "Otis, can't believe you're finally out of the hospital. How the hell did you get hit by a car after I left? I should have kept an eye on you! But you insisted you could make it home on your own."

He might have made a good job as an actor if he wasn't a demon and he had once before that theatre completely burned down. Never mind he didn't have time to think about that as he looked down with fake concern at Otis.

Otis noticed Astair leave the building and felt slightly angry. He gave him a cold death stare when he seemed concerned for his well being. "Are you sure I insisted I wanted to go home by myself?" He asked, very obviously implying that he knew better. For being drunk off his ass that night, he sure had a good recollection of what happened. He certainly didn't remember wanting to go home on his own, and he definitely remembered him edging him to cross the street. Otis wanted to just go home, but at the same time he needed to talk to Astair about last night.

"Yeah, I'm so sorry. We were both drunk out of our minds and I shouldnt have left you when you said you wanted to go home." He babbled on convincingly sounding as nervous and regretful as he wa supposed to be after supposedly 'accidentally' leaving a friend to die. "Are your legs alright? Everyone's so worried, when I got the news I thought I really did kill you." I had really hoped I did too. Otis was obviously suspicious, he would have to deal with that before anything got out of hand for him.

Otis kept staring at him, not buying most of his crap. He bought into the second half though. "My legs are fine, it'll take some time for them to get better though..." He looked down at his legs, slightly depressed. He wondered if he would be able to pay rent this month, let alone the hospital costs. Otis looked back up at Astair. "What exactly happened last night?" Otis asked, hiding any sort of bitterness towards Astair that he had. He wanted to find some kind of loophole to get Astair caught in, but at the same time he feared that Astair did want to kill him.

"Well, after we both got drunk off our asses, I think we walked outside shouting and laughing like drunken numbskulls and you insisted you could go home alone and you weren't that drunk and I think something about a goose. Being so stupid, I left you alone to stumble home and I got the news when you didn't come in for work the next next day. I stayed home one day after the hangover.." He said a little sheepishly, offering a small smile and knitted eyebrows. His own hands were held behind his back in a tight fist. A shame he hadn't stayed to make sure the man had died.

"Do you need any help getting home?" He asked concerned, though as usual it was all only fake.

"I don't remember you getting drunk off of your ass. Sure, you drank a lot, but you were pretty damn sober...and you were pretty much begging for me to cross the street..." Otis said, scratching his head, "and I'm fine, my house isn't that far from here." He honestly didn't trust Astair enough to be alone with him, let alone being alone with him in a car or somewhere else where he couldn't easily get access to help. He started rolling himself back home again, very obviously uneasy around Astair.

"Hm? I got just as drunk as you were, no one could stay sober after that drinking night." unless they were a demon. He pretended to look a little hurt when Otis waved off his help, he patted the man on the shoulder. Let the man go home by himself, he didn't have time to try and kill the man again he thought as he watched Otis roll away. He couldn't leave it alone now that Otis's suspicions were once again on him. Sooner or later the man would come after him, it was best to take him out now before his legs healed and before he was out on the streets hunting down for him again. He had to take some precautions though, Otis could label him a killer, but had he figured out his true nature yet? Or did he still think that night was a dream?

Otis flinched when Astair put his hand on his shoulder to pat it, rolling away faster. He didn't believe anything Astair was saying about last night. As he made his way into the apartment and to his room, he kept thinking about Astair. Was he out to get him, or was he just being crazy? He had known Astair for almost a year, why would he want to kill him? Did he seem like such an ass? Was Astair insane? Otis stopped thinking about it when he realized his wheelchair was almost the same width of the door way. He sighed, and after a good 10 minutes of ramming the wheelchair into the door way in a vain effort to get through he finally managed to squeeze through the doorway. He rolled himself to his bed and carefully climbed out onto it.

Otis relaxed with his back on his bed, his own bed in his own apartment. He didn't have to worry about being in the hospital or being bothered by nurses or anything like that, he could finally be by himself in his own bed. He got under the covers carefully and relaxed, shutting his eyes to day dream. The window was left open, from his own laziness and primarily from how busy he had been the past couple days.

"So stupid." He muttered staring at the wide open window. He was hovering in the air, shirtless with his wings out and his tail curling around him. It was an almost starless night as it was always in the city, just his type of night as he flew over to the open window. He played with the dagger in his hand, a twisted curvy blade with a bone handle made a long time ago when hunting elephants were still legal and it wasnt hard to skin a man hunting an elephant and hide the body. His eyes glowed dimly in the darkness, one green, one purple as he slid in silently and gracefully through the small window, his wings folding to let him in.

The man seemed to be sleeping, just perfect, he could dispel the shadows around him and save some of his energy. He ran a finger down the blade, not caring if he got cut. His arm shook as he held the dagger, not too badly, but still not healed. Tilting his head, he gazed down at the man with a small smile etched on his face. He lifted the daggar glintig evily in the little light.

Otis hadn't realized how much time had passed since he had rolled into bed. He was still in his normal clothes, cleaned and returned after he had left the hospital. He was close to falling asleep before realizing he still had to call in for his night job about his injury and get out of his street clothes. His eyes opened up slightly and slowly, wanting to remain closed to drift into sweet sleep, and he instantly noticed the glint of the knife. His heart skipped a beat and his eyes widened, the next thing he noticed was the faint glow of Astair's green and purple eyes. Otis instantly remembered the "dream," remembering those eyes stare down at him as he was slowly choked into unconsciousness. Was this another dream, or a horrible reality? All of those thoughts ran through him in a flash, and he wasn't about to figure out the hard way. Otis quickly sat up, and with all of the force of his upper body pushed Astair as far away from him as he could. Then, in a vain effort to stay alive, he rolled off of the bed and underneath it for some kind of cover.

Otis was filled with fear, half from almost being stabbed and half from not wanting to come to the conclusion that Astair wanted him dead. He reached into his back pocket for his phone, grateful for having left his street clothes on. He knew that getting some attention from the police would at least get Astair to escape instead of trying to kill him.
