Partners in Death

"Well, its a tourist hot spot, not much requiring the gun on your waist, at least, not until the sun goes down, I heard of some gang activity, but I'm not sure. And I figured you'd probably look for some trouble, so I brought this." He walks outside, going towards the large stretch of grass, reaching inside his pocket bringing out a small remote. Pressing a button, the cloaking field surrounding the Hawk blinked off.

"Its only stocked with a few basic weapons and supplies, it doesnt have our armored suits, but has a few weapons in case we want to switch out, and seeing as how I didn't bring any, it has everything I'll be needing."

"Oh my Hawk!" Grinning Styr runs and hugs its side enthusiastically "I missed you so" patting its bullet proof armor she turns and runs to Wulfe and hugs him tighty "always thinking ahead" she smiles brightly

Turning to her Wulfe says "Styr, I want you to listen to me. I don't want to fight anything on this trip, please. All we ever do is fight and kill, I want to have some fun for once, do something for me instead of taking whatever contract gets sent our way next. Please, think about this. If you want to look for some trouble, I won't let you go alone, but there is more to life then what we've been doing these past couple years." He says in a serious tone.

Turning to her Wulfe says "Styr, I want you to listen to me. I don't want to fight anything on this trip, please. All we ever do is fight and kill, I want to have some fun for once, do something for me instead of taking whatever contract gets sent our way next. Please, think about this. If you want to look for some trouble, I won't let you go alone, but there is more to life then what we've been doing these past couple years." He says in a serious tone.

Styr raises an eyebrow at him "and you can easily just switch off, to go from a cold blooded assassin to a normal civilian?" She shakes her head "I didn't go to school for all those years to be a normal civilian, and I don't know how to switch off, not while there's murders and drug lords and rapists out there" she gazes at Wulfe seriously with her blue eyes

Wulfe thought back to his past, growing up on the street, a nothing, a nobody, until he made himself important, working his way up through the criminal underworld. There wasn't time for fun, he learned hard and he learned fast. His initial goal was vengeance, his parents were killed before his very eyes, ruthlessly murdered. He was forced to watch as his mother and older sister were ceaselessly violated, but he managed to escape. He ran away from every foster home they tried to put him in. He became clever, resourceful. He remembered his first kill, a man had tried to grab him, take him away, but Wulfe managed to kill him first, and that was the last straw.

After that came years and years of personal training, there was no schooling, other than the street. The only lesson you needed to learn was kill or be killed. Soon word of his talents got out, and when the Government needed dirty work done, and didn' want anyone connected to them, Wulfe was their man. Secretly he always knew there was more, and he wanted more, but the blood payed the bills, kept food in his stomach. Wulfe wasn't even his real name, but an alias he came up with. It wasn't until he started taking private contracts, sometimes being sent to beautiful locations, only to soak them in blood. Then he met Styr, and she sparked something inside, something he thought died a long time ago. A tiny spark of feelings came back, and as many times as he would try to extinguish it, it wouldnt go away. He wanted to be happy.


All of that happened in a flash in Wulfe's mind. "Im not saying we have to stay this way, but havent you ever just wanted to relax? To not have to worry if someone has a gun to your back? Havent you ever wanted to just have fun, be happy?"

Her gaze drops to the ground "I am happy, whether its happily killing the bad guys or here on a paradise island, this is nice but for how long? How long can we put off our duty, how long can we allow the bad guys to roam free?" She lifts her gaze to his face.

"I'm just scared that with all the killing, we're going to lose our humanity. Besides from these last few days, I havent felt anything in a long time.." He said, trailing off, eyes slightly misty.

"Turning back to Styr "As for how long we get to be here in paradise, we have the beach house till Friday, and today is only Monday" He says with a smile. "Now, what should we do?"

Obviously having dropped the serious tone to the conversation she smiles "We should look at animal life around here" Styr had always loved animals, and Wulfe always denied her request to bring along a dog, and she had brought home a stray once and he had disappeared soon the next day

"Mk, and I can see it in your eyes, you're thinking of that mangy flee-ridden thing you brought home. Believe it or not, I didn't purposefully let it go. I've actually been thinking of picking up a cat, maybe a kitten? Its too boring around the house. Anyway, we'll have to head to the middle of the island and trek through the jungle."

Wulfe runs inside the Hawk, bringing out a machete and two packs with water and supplies. Throwing one to Styr, the two set off.

Styr presses the whole way about a dog, she wants a black German Shepard, looking at Wulfe she bats her eyes at him "Please can we get a German Shepard, I'll train him pleasseeeeee"
