Yes, that is what I meant. And it was just a suggestion, it seems like it would be easier to mention what we want to do, and then mention how it turned out/how we got there, without going into serious specifics. Maybe it's just me.

It could work, could get us to work on the meat of the story faster. Xcept if we start from the beginning helps to introduce our characters. Alrighty have Near youuu :P I will be Mello then, this shall be interesting! If you are ok with having Matt Shalashaska! Hmmm I never thought about that, he probably diiid...? Even though Near never really had direct contact with L, did he? It makes sense if the files were only transferred to Light, but if it helps you with the development with the story, I guess Near could get his hands on these files.

Meh, those files kind of... well, it would seem likely to me that L the Almighty would cover all his bases, and since he had a timer programmed after his death to alert Wammy's, the same timer could very easily hae sent those files.

To be perfectly honest, I don't know Matt very well... all I really know is, he's a cool guy with glasses and a cigarette. Also, "You wouldn't sho- pewpewpew." I'll try! ^_^ So, can I have Matt, Rercherche, and (in the scenes my character will have- I've got a subplot! ) BB?

That's the thing with Death Note, the characters go into extreme specifics when they're trying to oust one another. But hey, I'd be cool with it.

Apparently he did, in the BB novel, Mello's narrating just to flout his superior knowledge of L over Near, who's only met L on chance occasions.

Though, I'd think L would know that he could possibly die on the case (He was working on it for MONTHS) so I think he'd ensure the files got back to Wammy's one way or another, but t hen, why would Near wait so fucking long to go after Light? *Growl* It's so confusing.

L was a god amongst men. It is safe, indeed, to assume that he would send those files... perhaps Near lacked the full presidential backing required? Also, I know the characters go into extreme specifics, but I didn't mean that the specifics would be hard- I meant that writing about how X-Character traveled to Y-Place to do Z-Thing, which lead to Things Z1, Z2, and Z3 would be boring.

Sure thing! I think there really isn't much info about Matt, but that leaves it up to you to do anything you want with this character really. All I know is that he doesn't really enjoy the outdoors, prefers staying indoors playing games... pretty good with technology and stuff, helping Mello around. People believe they even lived together for a while when Mello left the Wammy's House.

And suuure, sure can't wait to see what you will do with BB xD so Rercherche will pretty much be Near's shadow, lurking around while secretly hating Near and is on Kira's side? Or is he also trying to solve the Kira case?

If you'd prefer to focus on your OCs, I can double as Matt, I'd like to see the dynamics of his friendship with Mello, not to mention I could do some epic shit of playing Pokemon while talking with people.
