Sounds to me, actually, like knowing exactly what you want exactly is your problem. You think so far ahead, you lost that spark you had when you were thinking of where you wanted to go.
Here's what you do. DON'T PLAN AHEAD.
Yes, your story is going to have plotholes. Yes, it's going to suck. But it's your first book, right? did you really expect to publish it? Don't be afraid to make mistakes and learn. You will fail if you don't allow yourself room for error. In fact, you should encourage yourself to make mistakes. Take that nanowrimo principle and just.fucking.write. Don't give me a 'but...' don't give yourself a 'but...' don't give anyone a 'but...' Writing you learn by doing it. Or maybe go write a bunch of short stories before you return to your book. That helps too. Honestly, thinking too far ahead causes you to lose excitement. That's not uncommon at all.
we have such sights to show you
Well, see, that's what these stories are. Failure stories, more or less so.
And... I don't intend to publish any of my works. :I One last thing: I really want to see this story through. I've become extremely attached to all of the characters, and I would not say the spark is gone. I've planned most of it, from my current location to the ending. I've allowed elbow room for each character to still make her/his own choices, but am guiding them all down a general path.

Hey for what it is worth…………
1) You’re right. Do something else. Go outside. Ride the bike.
2) If your goal is to write for YOU only, then don’t worry about really writing it. What’s wrong with just day dreaming a whole story? Entertain yourself with the pleasures of your own imagination. You can know all the details all the side tracks all the characters and it never go anywhere more than brain fun. There’s nothing wrong with that. Don’t beat yourself up.
Just thoughts.
Thank you cute and creative May
All I'll say, from my limited experience in the industry and moderate success, prepare to fail.
It sounds very unmotivational and not what you'd expect from someone giving advice but it's true. Every author knows that for every publishable page they produce there are a hundred which are utter garbage. Want to know the key to success? No matter how naturally talented you are, it all comes down to write, write and write somemore. Just. Keep. Writing. It doesn't matter what, if it's the worst or best thing you've ever written, just keep writing. I 'write' short stories (at least that's all that's been published) but I've written more poetry than fiction. Don't worry about it day to day, but work on it day to day. The long term goal is what is important, but it's the consistent everyday writing which will get you to it. My first published work was only 12,000 words, but in writing it I wrote over 100,000 between formalizing and drafting.
No matter how you feel or what you think, everyday just write something. It's a difficult industry and for most people the reward is a sentimental not economical one. Don't expect immediate results, believe in yourself and practice and you may succeed. But remember, there's no guarantees. Best of luck.
Why do you ask what, when the delicious question is when?
Okay, thanks all~!
I'm writing again, slowly though. I think the problem is that I'm going through a depression right now.
