Yeah. Alchemy might allow for pretty good medicine, there would be Windmills, very primitive gun-powder (1400's), crop rotation, etcetera, military tactics would make use of magic-users, sort of like in Dragon Age.

Maybe the magic can be taught? Not to anyone, but to those who have an ancestry that includes people who used magic. Those who are eligible to be taught magic would also have to have intelligence, but I guess that'd come with the education. Ah I don't know, just some rough ideas I guess.

Well hello Vaei, I was thinking the same thing about the magic being ancestral and having a certain level of intelligence to wield it. But that's ActRaiser's thing. Tell me what kind of world you'd want the RP to be in. Don't be afraid to spill out your guts.

I'd like a rp that's based on this world in the near future. When technology has reached it peak, people with 'powers' come forward. Mainly based in America/South America. But as more and more begin to surface, the government want to capture & train them as weapons. Therefore groups of special people with these powers flee, and continue to do so. Unfortunately, you can't run forever. So as the government begins to experiment, train, etc etc, people with powers turn against those who are trying to capture them. Then a battle breaks out, and the government & secret forces see that they should just terminate them. I'm not 100% sure, but still, that's what I'd like!

Interesting idea, so the technology would be at what level, just to give me an example. Are we talking about the ability to create life without the need of humans anymore or what? Just trying to draw this out of some more. Would vegetation be around or is this world truly a mecca of mecha? And where would these powers come from? I would assume since the tech is so advanced that we've found a way to activate things in our genes but that's just me haha.

I like, in terms of tech steam punk and futuristic or somewhere in between also multiple playable nonhuman races and magic that I get to play around with and I get to mix magic and tech (place spells on a rifle or mech or create a space ship using tech and magic) however I will play most any type

for balanceing tech and magic it realy depends on how magic is presieved in the game and as for which is superior tech with magic enhancements. and then set up extremist that think one is more powerful than the other
