Improving the Arena

It has come to my attention, due to a message, that the Arena is not as popular as expected.

Therefore, I would like to know what you, the people who like the Arena, would do to make it better.

The person, Mahz, who sent me a message, would rather save this section instead of trashing it due to its lack of activity.

He proposed some ideas, which are good, but I haven't gotten, because I didn't ask for, permission to post HIS ideas, so I won't.

Thus, gimme your ideas.

Well,i would put it at the top,and give it more sub forms in the sub forms,like modern war,old war,fantasy,stuff like that,and possibly make Roleplayerguild wars in the arena,where roleplayers just fight with their characters from roleplays.

So...basically moving it and giving it sub-forums? I don't think that would improve it much. I think the problem is just that not enough people are into it. Of course, my opinion here doesn't matter so much because I'm not a participant here, but I really don't think it would help to separate it by genre and moving it to the top isn't going to help much.

I don't think Organization is the problem, moreso the lack of interest in combat RP in general

1. Organization is certainly not a problem with the Arena as it is. Adding a s***load of subforums would just complicate the whole process of battling, which is supposed to a be a quick pick up of arms, and a clashing of blades and whatnot.... to put it figuratively. Things like style and era of a battle can be set specifically by the thread, or otherwise, era's and styles can clash.

2. Interest would have to be worked into people, in some way, were that the problem. Most people on the site, I would wager, simply have 0 interest in battles. They like their plots, and not having fighting as a necessity. I think a part of that downer is that many take the 'forget about the plots' as dogma, and interpret it as meaning that there are no 'plots' that can take place within the Arena. This, of course, is quite to the contrary, which could be shown better if the right sort of activity took hold.

I really couldn't say. It seems like right now, the people in this thread are the ones interested in the arena, and all we're doing by this is going over ways to boost activity, rather than just doing it. There just aren't very many challenges going out these days, at least, not much that's open.
