lol, I am quite the darling when I hate on suppy. nothing defeats my illogical logic because I have polar bear blood and am tri-winning.

Mmmmm okay, the whole shots thing, effects him right after he takes it. That's the whole steep part about it. And the shots do not kill right away, no. It depends on where they hit the person, and then it just affects that area. So if he shot someone in the arm, it turns that spot on the arm a distorted color, then makes it unable to use for about an hour. But that effect won't start until the person notices they've been shot. So the bullet itself won't cause pain until the wound had been noticed. It will make you bleed but not by much. This gun is more of a tactical gun. But the bullets will never be right away kill shots. If e shoots someone in the head, they won't feel it penetrate. But once they feel the slight blood or until someone points it out, then it doesn't hurt them. And the shots only are used against something living and with a soul. Can't be shot other wise. Make sense? Any suggestions?

Now the mind thing, let me get into full detail. When someone calls out the challenge, Neir puts away all weapons. Then he simply takes off his mask and looks the challenger directly in the eye. Yes, they go into their mind but on equal terms. It's one of those things tht no one can really explain, it just happens. But after looking into his eyes, Neir immediately focuses and enters the mind of the challenger, where they will be strongest, as to give them an advantage, since he has done this ages times before and they did challenge HIM. At this point everything goes dark. Everything. All there is, is Neir and the challenger. Now, everyone's mind is unique, and so is their willpower. When Neir enters the mind of the challenger, then the challenger automatically gets the weapon unique to their mind. The weapon can be a bow, sword or whäever their special talent is. But in this state, everything comes down to sheer skill. All Neir has is his blade. No powers, just the skill he has with it. And that skill, is speed. Not like super fast, not like no one can match his speed but he is fast. That is how it works. Anymore questions?

I believe it's a front -- everyone's actually freaking out over how to not get obliterated by him.

As long as the paralylizing effect of the gun on limbs is a sloooow effect, I'm okay with it. And if you're okay with restorative magic being able to counteract it, and promise not to shoot anyone in the head unfairly, we're good.

Name: Raelius “Rae” Tyr

Race: Human, Caucasian

Gender: Male

Age: 28

He has several scars, mostly on his face and sides, from his days of protecting Teuran. He is 5'11'' tall and weighs about 180 lbs.

Background: Raelius was born and raised in a city far to the north, known as Teuran. Teuran is not a particularly rich, nor an impoverished, city. Most of its wealth is derived from lumber trading, as it is located at the edge of an abundant forest. Relius became an officer of the Teuran City Guard at the age of nineteen. At age twenty, he found a beautiful wife, by the name of Lizaben, and had a daughter, named Helena two years later.

One season ago, a terrible plague, known only as the Affliction, befell the city of Teuran. Within a fortnight, over half of the city had died of the Affliction. By the next fortnight, Teuran had fallen to complete anarchy. The surviving lower class of the city and the infected began indiscriminately burning homes and tearing the city apart in hysteria. As a loyal member of the Guard, he did his best to keep the peace, but to no avail.

One cold night, little more than a month ago, Raelius was held up from completing his rounds by a small group of bandits attempting to raid a merchant’s weekly shipment. The fight was four-to-one, but Raelius managed to kill three of them. The forth, however, was much more skilled, and seemed to be the leader of the group. He carried an exceptionally large sword, which he swung with ease, and wore a dark cloak that overshadowed his face. Raelius managed to wound the man, but with injury to himself as well. The marauder retreated and Raelius made his way home.

By the time he arrived, however, flames had engulfed the entirety of his home, with his wife and child inside. In front of the burning property, there was a single note, pinned in the dirt by the villain’s blade. The note read: “Follow your hope and hated and you shall find me.”

Personality: Raelius is very quiet and reserved. He says only things he finds necessary to say, and is not one for rhetoric. He does not easily get along with others, but is certainly not hostile. Rae respects all who give him no reason to do otherwise. He is generally a very chivalrous man to those whom he believes deserve such treatment.

Occupation: Officer of the Teuran City Guard.

Power/Weapon: Carries a six-foot-long, seven-inch-wide Custom Two-handed Greatsword. Currently knows no magic.

Weakness:

Emotional – Raelius is very emotionally attached to the memories of his beloved family. The possibility of bringing them back only strengthens this bond.
Physical – Raelius’s fighting technique focuses mainly on brute strength, considering his weapon. He can move at a decent pace, but is not particularly agile.

Dislikes/Fears: Raelius fears very little, since he has already lost everything. Whether he lives or dies matters little to him; either way he will be reunited with his wife and daughter. He hates arrogance and ignorance alike, especially combinations of the two.

Wish: Resurrection of Lizaben and Helena.

Other: If not understood in the bio, the blade Raelius carries is the sword of the man who murdered his family. It has no true name and no real connection with Raelius, but is often referred to simply as "the Sword". If resurrecting Lisaben and Helena was not an option, he would wish to impale their murderer with his own blade.

Ah, the trolls in /adv/ I'm tempted to feed them, but eh... no reason to join them. They're not even the intelligent type ;-;

They're more like the "Idiocracy" breed-like-bunnies-and-doom-humanity-and-the-world ones. :/
