I totally disagree with your last point. if two people equal in skill are fighting, the one more emotionally charged would be at a disadvantage, because if you can think clearly while fighting, you can fight smarter, beating the ass of the angry dude...

and then there is the fact that fighting good opponents is Tancred's favourite activity ever. thrashing them is even more fun! XD

Well then. Tancred vs Fredrick should be an interesting fight. Tancred is an anger charged killing machine. Fredrick, on the other hand, is a practical, cold, calculating, and ruthless 95lbs of killing machine. Therefore, by your own words, Fredrick should have the advantage. You neglect to remember that many wars have been fueled by allegiance to an authority, and hatred fueled by a god can be just as powerful as one that is fueled by revenge. In fact, one might even say that Tancred has a larger purpose than yours, which is to destroy all non-human races. Is your hate fueled directly at Tancred? No, you don't like him because he is a racist bastard. Tancred wants to kill you, but Tancred is more of an annoyance to Naunix than a goal. If you want to give the mental advantage, you could say Naunix has a ferocity powered by anger while Tancred has a task directed by God, and fueled by hate. They are both powerful, and they cannot compare to eachother.

One might also suggest that a battle fought in anger can prove to be just as much of a disadvantage than an advantage, as a level headed opponent can think more clearly, both sides of which I've experienced in fighting (wrestling, precisely). Anger gives power and calmness gives logic and precision. Both are good.

First posts will include arriving to the city, picking up a case, fiddling around town or something, and eventually settling down for the night. GM's second or third post will bring about the dawn. Then, the city will be split into two threads for the battling in which players can freely jump from one to another. And there will be a single thread for Tancred so players can go verse the beast personally. Apparently chaotic threads distract him, so...

As a note, I will have an official guideline map to Aelhurst for you tomorrow, pointing out water and mana sources, plus other key landmarks. And, I'll be bringing up the Gatekeeper's CS here shortly, too. ~
