A bit of info you guys need to know; From now until basically this exact time in a week I'm in exam time. I'll still be on, just not as frequently.

Hey Dark, are there any ideas, groups or technologies you'd like us to casually brainstorm? Just to help populate the compendium and get our brains storming.

You can brainstorm anything! I'm always open to ideas.
I did have one you could work on though, a corporation. A private company that operate a private security force around the two relays on behalf of the six most powerful nations (you guys). They're there for mutual safety and fair use of the relays and earn their money through charging a toll.

Again, any ideas you have yourself are more than welcome.

What level of contact with the other players do we have?

You all know of each others existence. Obviously because of gameplay reasons there can't be pre-established treaties and what not. Basically it's like six asian countries. You all know ye are there and co-operate occasionally e.g. The Relay company, security thing, but mostly you're indifferent. At least at the start.*

I was going to have a Hamacian say in a post, that it's "highly improbable that there are any other sapient life" and he'd sound really smart with purple words and shit, and then he'd be like, super disproved in a mildly humorous fashion. But I guess that might still be applicable, since the Sputtlefish would be a hard first alien species to realize, and the Imperials are so far away.

So it's not like the races are well-linked? I was thinking that the Sputtlefish would be linked with the race that introduced them to the Galactic community but otherwise unaware - they'll know the other races exist, just not talk?
