I had to pass through Nipton again to get to Novac, I just kept my head down, my only solace was that the flames had finally petered out, and that there was no more trouble in that particular patch of land. No-one deserved... That.
No-one.
I kept walking along to Novac, though I was delayed by two seperate gangs, the first were a small group calling themselves Vipers, the lucky bastards managed to bust an actuator pump on my suit, making it useless. I could get it fixed in town, but it'd probably be cheaper just to buy new Armor. Heavy hearted I left the Recon Armor behind, checking my vast wares I picked up a suit of metal armor. It was archaic, but would have to do until I found something better.
The second gang was actually a reprieve, some feral ghouls wearing "follower of the Bright" robes carrying energy weapons ambushed me. I was lucky that my armor seemed to disperse some of the energy. Of course their robes were no match for my laser rifle. I got a fair amount of plasma and laser weapons and placed it in my pack happily. Hopefully, soon I'll get the camera function on my Pipboy working, which would be a god send, and helpful to keep my notes in order.

I saw the men in Roman armor again, this time waiting in silence to ambush a caravan. I decided not to give them a chance to explain themselves, and let loose with my laser rifle. I was unseen and swift, there were no survivors. I don't think the Caravan even heard the laser shots. The surprise on their face when they saw the dead Legionairres was what made the whole situation worth it for me.

Another under equipped group of raiders, another ambush, I'm starting to think about getting off the main road and try my luck with the wildlife around here. I'm almost at Novac, and I'm feeling somewhat cautious of the area.

When I finally reached Novac, I was excited, it looked like a peaceful town, and for all rights it was. Curiously, I've also found the Securitron Vic, who happened to rescue me after my excursion at the NCRCF most likely a coincedence since we're both heading the same way, but still it is nice to see a friendly face after such weary travels. I wonder I offered to be his travelling companion, but it would seem he suspects I'd hold him back, which is possibly true. I decided to talk to the locals about any suspicious activity Legion, or otherwise.
While I'm here, I may as well also do some investigation on the men Deputy Beagle encountered, and what their connection, if any, to Legion is.

I talked to the day staff patrol, who admitted to knowing the Men Beagle talked about, but refused to give me the name unless I did him a favor. He wanted me to kill the Ghouls at the Repconn facility North of Novac. I decided better of it, and instead snuck into the man's house. On his terminal, there was a note. Apparently a man named Benny stole a package from his boss.He has been ahead of me it would seem, and leaving a trail of corpses in his wake. I simply want to talk to the man, but I doubt I could without cornering him. I will talk to a man named "Boone" who works the Night shift here in Novac, hopefully he has more information about legion.
While waiting for Boone, it should be noted a man name Malcolm Holmes approached me, and confronted me about some scavenging I'm doing. Apparently, there is a local legend tied around these sunset sarspirilla bottles, and that people are crazy about them. Some even willing to kill for them.

I think I have a problem... I really do. I just seem to attract trouble like moths to a flame, and this town is no different then the others.I met Boone, and he asked me to do him a favor. He needed me to find the person who sold his wife into slavery. I don't know why I accepted his job, but there was a certain sadness in Boones eyes that just made me want to help him. He has seen things I have seen. He too has a personal vendetta against Legion.
I decided to break into the local town leader's office, as most of these people have files for rumor and gossip. I nearly broke my cover trying to stifle fits of laughter. She actually had a receipt. A receipt for the sale of a human being, just filed away like she was going to get Tax Credits or something for it. I just couldn't believe people were this dumb in the wasteland.
Boone told me to send the person out front of the Dino, wearing his hat to tell him it's his target. It was simple enough, I simply broke into Jeanie-May's home, and told her their were Legion raiders coming. She ran so fast it was all I could do to keep up in my heavy armor, with my huge backpack.
Boone put her down before she knew what hit her.
I was lucky, Boone decided to leave with me to New Vegas. He and I were brothers in blood, and I was very glad that my lonesome road had a friend to walk down it with.
[Boone] I'm not Gay. Don't make me regret this.
Boone! I'm not flirting with you, this is just how Paladins are taught to do reports. Calm your tits!
[Boone] Whatever.
