    So, yeah.
You might want to pick up a new hobby or something while you wait.
'Wait a while' doesn't emphasise how long it really is though D: I could have driven to London and back before the scan finished.

It only took me 40 minutes.

Though, that could be because I skipped the rest of the scan when it was 96% through, A) because I thought it had frozen up and B) because it had already found the infected file and I moved it to my virus chest.

    That said-

Avast gave me three virus alerts since my computer rebooted. Not only do I recognize the virus from before, but there's apparently two of them now, as well.

    =_=

Do a system restore. It'll get rid of it, hopefully.

Honestly don't know what to say. I have a habit of thinking that Avast is shite anyways, so I figured out how to curb stomp virii manually including hunting their keys in the registry.

If nothing else works? Nuke & Pave.

Eh. I turned off virus alerts anyway (the actual act of the little window popping up, anyway). It says it's blocking them and I haven't seen any real difference in performance, so I guess the viruses aren't doing any major harm.

I'm just glad I got those pop-ups to stop.
