Welcome to downtown Los Angeles, where if you live on the wrong side of the tracks you go from being rich to being poor by where your house is located. But don't worry. In the poor neighborhood the "Greasers" take care of everyone they meet in the same situation. You are now officially one of their friends. Your enemies are the rich kids that are always causing different problems with the town.

Personality: He knows when it is appropriate to be the leader and when its time to be fun and mess around. He is very determined to make sure everyone they meet ends up well off even if they don't have the money or the means to themselves. He is caring and kind to helping people out.
Back Story: He has always lived on the wrong side of the tracks. His father was a mechanic and his mother was always to sick to work. Him and his siblings all shared a two bedroom house for a long time. When his brothers and sisters where old enough they all moved out. He stayed behind to help his dad at his car shop and to help the new Greasers have a good life.

Personality: She is a fun loving, caring girl who truly wants to help everyone she can. She is also a very strong leader too like Danny Boy. She has a want and desire to make sure everyone stays safe and sound when they go out or on missions. She also helps the females of the group primarily.
Back Story: She grew up as Danny Boys childhood sweet heart. They lived across the street apart from each other all their lives. When they got older and started to date one another they never left the other ones side. They moved in together a year ago and are currently engaged with no money to get married yet. She has also vowed her life to help the Greasers and stay with Danny Boy for the rest of her life.

Personality: Kayla is timid and shy, but she's also kind and caring. She is smart and loves to learn, but she doesn't get to go to school very often.
Back story: Kayla comes from a broken home. Her mom ran away when she was only 3, and her dad? The best thing he could have done was abandon her, but instead he either ignores her or abuses her. He's even been known to come looking for her when he's in an abusive mood and she doesn't come home. When it's warm enough outside she will find an empty lot to sleep in rather than going home, and she took to sleeping in trees to avoid being found by her dad. One day she had been taking a nap in the tree in the lot where the greasers tend to hangout when Ponyboy and Johnny showed up. They got to talking to her, and that's when she got to meet the gang

What exactly is the story to this?

Poor kids on the wrong side of the tracks having to find a way to get rid of the rich kids that always mess with them. Sort of like the plot line for the book but with different events.
