Sonic looked back in attempt to at least talk with Lelouch before he could go, but saw that Lelouch was already too far from them. So, Sonic only sighed and gave a shrug, he wasn't sure what to do after that.

"Alright, I think somewhere in that direction is where I can sense the golden gem, which is all the way at the other side of this city," Kaika explained once they were close to the city. Moments later, Kaika hear someone from the city that sounded familiar to her.

Light thought he had heard someone fall on the ground next to him, and turned to see M had tripped and fell. "Are you okay? Do you need help getting up?" Light asked her politely as he held out his hand towards M.

L facepalmed at Sonic and forgot about Lelouch for now. They would have to deal with him later. He continued walking towards the city with Mello, both a bit hesitant but determined to find the gem from this area. "Shouldn't be too bad then." Mello answered Kaika.

M glanced up for a second and nodded. She definitely felt some strange aurora coming from him. She took his hand in a gentle grip and stood up, blushing. "Um..Sorry about that..But I'm new here. I just transferred from Europe. I hope it's not too much to ask, but is it possible for you to show me around? I don't really know where anywhere is, and I haven't gotten the chance to check in anywhere either." M explained.

"I just know that," Kaika said as they walked through the city.

Mello and L looked at each other, and continued following Kaika. "Maybe I can get us a car." He said to the group.

M bowed slightly. "Thank you, that would be great, I'm grateful to have someone so nice show me around." She said, looking up and straightening her posture.

Mello nodded, and sped off somewhere as if he knew where he was going. He had used some metal scraps from the garbage can and picked the lock of a car. It had an automatic start button so he drove back to the group, a smile on his face.

"So how long have you lived here?" M asked, walking with Light and smiling at him.

"Of course," Kaika slightly joked, walking up to the car.

Sonic knew he had to go in the car, because this city also seemed like they would try to capture him to figure out what he is.

When everyone got in the car, Mello began driving just a bit too fast. He slowed down as much as he could, and continued driving. "So, Kaika, you're our new GPS. Where should I turn?" He teased, looking at her.

"That's really cool actually!" M said, giggling a bit. She had a slight blush on her face. "You go to this university then, right?"

Kaika had to think this out really quick based on how she was sensing the golden gem. "Keep on going straight, then take the 2nd left," Kaika began from what she could base it on her senses. But...earlier, once we got here, I heard a familiar voice...who exactly was it that I heard there?...or was it just my imagination? she thought this over, thinking on what happened earlier.

"Correct, I was just done for the day actually, which is why I had the time to show you around," Light said, and it was actually a great period of timing. Of course, he had extra time that he could be using on his "judgment", but he wanted to do something else for the time's being. Mentally, he was being pestered by the shinigami that follows him that they were wasting time on apples, but Light ignored the nuisance the shinigami was as he walked with M.

Mello nodded and continued driving, speeding up just a bit. He continued speeding and took the sharp left, following what Kaika was saying. He had a smile on his face and it looked like he fit in the way he was driving. He glanced at another before taking off quickly again, as if he chose to race the random car.

M smiled and continued walking. She had a sheepish look on her face. "I hope it's not too much trouble." She said, before wondering if he knew about Kira. "Have you heard about this Kira person?" She said innocently, looking at Light.
