I would dearly, dearly enjoy having my first General, Ale.
Not sure if you meant to use "your" or "you're"?

Regarding your Special Trait again, Ale:

Rank 1 Special Trait(s) (6): Mark of the Marksman: Through years of training, Sigia harbors an overwhelming knowledge of all things Archery in which she can effectively use to train those that are under her command. (+1 Bow proficiency for all units under her command)
Worded like this the bonus doesn't make much sense. It's supposed to be due to training, but units withdrawn from your General's command will lose your General's Special Trait bonus again... and they wouldn't just forget/ignore their training again. So I'd suggest rephrasing it.

Apart from that, instead of a flat bonus of +1 while under your command you could make it an actual training perk, which would mean sacrificing a specific amount of time to actually raise their proficiency by 1 permanently, disregarding whether they're under your direct command or not. (Note though that, in case you want to revolt later on, this might not exactly be what you want, providing your Sovereign with better troops. On the other hand, being the one to train the troops might make it easier to make them fight for you instead of their Sovereign's side in case you want to rebel. Otherwise, providing all of your Sovereign's armies with better archers might give 'your' side the edge in some battle or another.) There would probably have to be a hard cap on how often single units can be trained.

It would be easy to make it work by saying that each unit could only be elevated by +1 once. So they cannot be trained again. At least that would make sense to me.

Alternatively, that general may intuitively know how to use bows well, and may think of absurd (but effective) strategies that most people wouldn't think of when they look at a bow. Thus, units that are under her command and can benefit directly from her perspective get the bonus.

Alright, here are my generals. They're (mostly) reposted from the previous iteration. I'm planning on playing both, but if someone else joins up under Miya'Juma, I'll axe one of my generals to level out the playing field (chosen based on ability overlap).

Name: Renjo On’Dar, the Lion’s Roar

    Age: 34

    Gender: Male

    Race: Human

    Racial Advantages: TBA
    Racial Disadvantages: TBA

    Appearance:

Six feet tall and well-built, Renjo is the pretty standard build one would expect from a military man. He has short, spiky black hair (though often his helmet presses it down flat), and his hairline is starting to recede. His skin is tan. He usually dons a serious expression that naturally fits his face, which is very angular and slightly weathered.

    Allegiance: Miya’juma

Biography: The first son of the noble On’Dar house, Renjo was born into a life of great expectations and burdens. From day one, he was raised and trained to be a model noble and general. He received the finest instruction in both martial and academic matters, though he received little training in the arts. As he grew older, Renjo slowly became a master combatant and tactician, but where he truly shined was his oratory skills. If not for the fact his walk of life had been chosen at birth, Renjo likely would have made for an astoundingly skilled and respected politician, but his father instead continued to train him in the arts of war.

Renjo first made a name for himself when he was 19 at the Battle of Deep Pass. He had been sent in to relieve beleaguered and crippled forces holding a chokepoint in the mountains, only to find the situation had worsened far more than expected since he had set out. The army he found was in tatters, with only a fraction of its number uninjured and capable of fighting. Though he was initially supposed to combine his forces with those already stationed at Deep Pass, Renjo decided that both his troops and the pass’s previous defenders would be better off if he sent the beleaguered army home, despite the fact it would put him at a distinct numerical advantage. Two days after his decision, the enemy assaulted Renjo’s position.

Outnumbered at least three to one, Renjo’s forces appeared to be doomed despite having the defensive high ground, and morale in his camp began to plummet before the battle even began. Renjo himself moved to the frontlines, and as the enemy approached, he gave a rousing speech to his men that almost instantly restored the army’s morale and charged alongside them into the enemy. In the end, Renjo’s army took massive casualties, but permanently pushed the enemy back. Renjo had held Deep Pass, but at the cost of half his troops. However, Renjo’s conduct that day had given him far more: fame, prestige, his troops’ loyalty, and the nickname “the Lion’s Roar”.

When Renjo was 22, his father fell ill and was wracked with constant bouts of temporary insanity. Renjo promptly took control of the family’s affairs and, when his father finally passed away two months later, became the official head of the On’Dar family. Renjo was everything his father had made him to be: a noble and just head of the house, a shrewd tactician, and a daring and gallant fighter. Renjo, miraculously enough, seemed content with his lot in life despite it having all been decided for him. He lacked any serious ambition, instead becoming a loyal instrument of the king.

That, however, eventually changed. Over the course of several months, Renjo’s far more ambitious younger brother, Hazino, convinced him that a fellow general, Jumanj Na Kartija, was better suited for the role of king. Renjo had fought alongside Jumanj on several occasions, and had a high opinion of the man. He agreed that Jumanj, despite his youth, would likely be a better ruler, but his loyalty to his current master left him indecisive. After much deliberation and convincing, however, he at last threw his support behind Jumanj.

The choice appeared to be a right one. As Jumanj ascended to the throne, House On’Dar rose in status with him. Renjo’s family received increased status and glory for assisting Jumanj’s rise, and House On’Dar was suddenly thrust to the forefront of Miya’Juman politics. Renjo once again became a loyal vassal of the king, though this time a much more trusted and powerful one, but he quickly became wary of the politics that his new station enveloped him in. Wishing to focus on maintaining family affairs and his career as a general, he left most of the politicking to his younger brother, Hazino. Though he has allowed himself to effectively become a figurehead for his younger brother, Renjo is still a deeply respected and skilled commander on the field of battle. His martial exploits are many, and his name known throughout the land. When the lion roars, all hear his call to battle, and few resist it.

Signature Weapon: The Fang of On’Dar, a glaive handed down through the generations and wielded by the head of the On’Dar family.

    Skills and Proficiency:

    Spear: Lv1 (2p)

    Riding: Lv1 (6p)

Special Trait (Roar): Lv1 (6p) Renjo is a miraculously charismatic commander well-known for his rousing speeches. Troops he commands start every battle with improved morale no matter how dire their situation.
(To clarify how it actually works in abstract, mathematical terms, it’s a flat bonus to army morale, effective at the beginning of combat, every combat. If morale is at 100% at the beginning, he jacks it up to 125%. If it’s at 50%, he bumps it to 75%, and so on. Note that this isn’t a persistent effect, just a one time bump at the start of every combat. Effectively, his troops can be routed, but it’s impossible for them to just turn tail and run before combat begins.)

    Name: Hazino On’Dar

    Age: 26

    Gender: Male

    Race: Human

    Racial Advantages: TBA
    Racial Disadvantages: TBA

    Appearance:

Hazino is slightly shorter and significantly more graceful looking than his brother, standing at around 5'10". He is usually smiling, even while at work.

    Allegiance: Miya’juma

Biography: Unlike his older brother, Hazino was given significant freedom as a child, though this also meant there were few expectations of him. Like Renjo, he was educated by the finest instructors the family could find, but he was allowed to choose his subjects. Growing up in the shadow of his brother, whom was already becoming skilled in the ways of war at a young age, Hazino decided to follow in his brother’s footsteps and also become a general. Though it quickly became apparent that Hazino had little aptitude for direct combat, he was a skilled archer and possessed a cunning mind that made him a natural strategist.

But even as Hazino grew, Renjo grew faster and stronger. Hazino continued to chase his brother’s shadow, but he never quite managed to catch him. His failure to do so lit a powerful ambition in Hazino and a deep desire to be recognized on his own terms. It was this ambition that would at last allow Hazino to be on even terms with his brother.

Hazino’s successes in the field of war were many, but nowhere near as flashy as Renjo’s. His cunning strategies won the day for Miya’juma on numerous occasions, but Renjo’s glorious and furious speeches and battles were always what were on the tip of everyone’s tongues, not Hazino’s careful and deliberate stratagems. After several years of getting nowhere, Hazino began to despair that even greatness would not be enough to match his brother, until opportunity suddenly came in the name of Jumanj Na Kartija.

Jumanj was a war hero, much like Hazino’s brother, and loved by the people. When Hazino got wind of Jumanj’s wish to become king and quickly rallied to his banner. Though Hazino could not officially throw his support behind Jumanj as he wasn’t the head of the On’Dar family, he could secretly support his fellow general, and did so fervently. Finally, after many months of painstaking convincing, Hazino at last got his brother to join Jumanj’s camp, thus allowing him to support Jumanj in the open.

When Jumanj eventually ascended to the throne, Hazino was one of those heaped with the most gifts. As one of Jumanj’s earliest and most primary backers, as well as the one who convinced Renjo to throw the full weight of the On’Dar family’s support behind Jumanj, Hazino was rewarded quite handsomely with prestige, fame, and a new longbow, Yuthari, which was crafted for the occasion. As time wore on, Hazino also gained political power as the weary Renjo allowed Hazino to deal with most of the house’s political issues. Hazino soon realized that he may not have matched Renjo as a general, but he far outstripped him as a politician, and thus had managed to find equal ground. His life goal reached at last, Hazino has faithfully served Jumanj and furthered the On’Dar family’s political stature as he searches for a new goal to follow.

Signature Weapon: Yuthari, a longbow gifted to him by the current sovereign, Jumanj, for supporting him during his overthrow of the previous king.

    Skills and Proficiency: 2p leftover

    Sword: Lv1 (2p)

    Bow: Lv1 (2p)

    Armor: Lv1 (2p)

Special Traits (Cultivator): Lv 1 (6p) As a way to keep his troops fit and occupied during peacetime, Hazino has picked up the habit of sending his troops out to assist the people with whatever needs to be done – farming, constructing roads and bridges, etc. As such, the district he’s garrisoned in gains a bonus to resources generated proportional to the number of troops stationed under him.
