Aeons ago the megaverse was made. The gods, titans and other great powerful monsters and beings clashed against one another in epic wars of divine proportions. The mortals were made after the war, and ever since they have lived and died. Eventually, great empires were made that dwarfed the other worlds in size and power, and the strong ruled over the weak. The gods and primordial masters of the universe were disgruntled, but had agreed ever since the Great War not to interfere directly in the affairs of mortals without restrictions. The restriction was that to conquer other worlds, a great Tournament must take place, and within the loss of eight Tournaments, the losing world may be conquered.

The year is 2200 AD. Earth has finally been able to colonize other solar systems for the past 50 years. Far beyond our stellar boundaries lay the other worlds in the Galaxies which have life. However. . . an EMP pulse has cut off all communications between Earth and it's colonies. The Human species has also lost Seven consecutive Tournaments in a row, and it is time to fight again. The Emperor, Saraen has vowed to conquer the people's of Earth and confiscate their strange new technology for his own Empire.
