Xavier's Institute for Higher Learning [OOC]

    IC|OOC

"A new generation of mutants is emerging, that much is certain. They will be called freaks. Genetic monstrosities. But they are emerging in the inner cities, in the suburbs, in the deserts and the jungles. And when they emerge, they will need teachers, people who can help them overcome their anger and show them how to use their strange gifts responsibly. They will need us." - Professor Charles Xavier

This game is designed to focus on a small group of mutants that become the first class of the Xavier Institute of Higher Learning; a group that will have to learn, live, and survive together. As that implies there will be plenty of time for the characters to do the living and learning together, but there will also be times when the students are thrown into the fire. As stated in the interest check, the setting will be a modern world where most of the elements of the Marvel Universe exist...they simply exist in secret, or have yet to materialize. There will be story arcs in the traditional sense, with the first and second already planned, though any player is more than welcome to introduce their own story and their own sub-plots. Your character, our game, certainly don't be shy about creativity.

Even planned storylines can change on the fly depending on the actions of the characters. The only real certainty I have is that this young group of first students will become the founding members of the X-Men.

Modern world, with the only known superhero element being the Fantastic Four. The majority of the public like the Fantastic Four, but seem hesitant about what they represent as a precursor to a greater metahuman presence in the world. As far as our game's concerned, the main setting will be the X-Mansion itself. We'll be using a more modern version. The nearest town will be North Salem, New York, a middling upper middle class New York state town.

Questions? Comments? Ideas? Don't hesitate to let me know!

    Memories, memories everywhere.

I'll remake my character from ages ago, if that's okay with you :3
It’s not on the menu, but might I suggest the ‘I got my ass kicked’ martini?

    Name: Estella Marie Rey
    Codename: Kinesis
    Age: 18
    Sex: Female
    Appearance:

    Mutation:

No physical manifestation of mutation. Rather, Estella seems to manipulate kinetic energy. She has shown herself capable of ranged attacks of kinetic energy, waves of kinetic energy, as well as kinetic enhancement and absorptions. A year after she arrived at the Institute, Estella achieved a major goal she had since arrival--learning how to manipulate kinetic energy in a way to allow flight.

    Personality:

Few students have garnered as much worry and concern from the staff as Estella Rey over the years. While a highly functioning member of the small group of students, there are undertones of darkness that carry through in talks with Estella that raise flags. For the most part any concerns have been dismissed as an effect of being raised where Estella was raised, in the conditions in which she was raised, and having survived the traumas that the girl has endured.

Supportive, social, and positive--few complain about Estella's attitude or general disposition. If there has been a lasting complaint about Estella it's that she can go through prolonged periods with minimal contact outside the requirements of a normal school day at the Institute. Her most noteable peer relationship is that with fellow female Jean Grey.

There is little, if any, traces of accent to Estella's english. Estella is known as one of the harder working academic students at the Institute. If a classmate has neglected their academic assignments in favor of their mutant training assignments, it's widely known they can go to Estella for a quick bit of tutoring to get them 'back to speed' academically.

    History:

A native of Ciudad Juárez, Mexico, one of the homocide capitals of the world. Ciudad Juárez is one of the largest growing areas in North Americo, in large part to the high number of Mexican rural workers moving to the city of Ciudad Juárez in search of high paying steady employment by the largest industry in the area--the Mexican Drug Cartels. Just across the border of El Paso, Texas, Estella's family arrived at Ciudad Juárez in waves over a period of twenty years starting in 1980 with Estella's grandfather.

Over the years the family changed from modest farmers to a family nearly entirely supported by the Sirasol Cartel of Ciudad Juárez. When Estella was no more than ten a street war errupted in the dusty North mexico town of Ciudad Juárez between Sirasol and rival cartels. Of eight aunts and uncles, Estella lost all but an uncle deep into the Cartel. Both her father and mother were murdered--victims of crossfire. Of twenty cousins, less than ten survived.

Less than two months later another tragedy would strike, forcing Estella to seek refuge with a few of her older cousins in the US. Little is generally known of the time between Estella's granting of US citizenship and her arrival at Xavier's at age 16. Estella has managed to keep her views and opinions mostly to herself except for a few passing admissions to close friends.

As training begins to take on elements of combat, eyes are on the Mexican powerhouse of kinetic energy. Professor Xavier remains convinced that Estella will either be a valuable field asset for the future team, or one of the team's first real blows to morale and membership.

    Name:
    James William Knight
    Code name: Jinx
    Age: 17.
    Sex: Male.
    Appearance:
182 Cm tall. 72 KG heavy. He's fit but still slender.
He has a tattoo of a Pokéball on his left forearm.

    Mutation:

    Super-Human Metabolism:
He have super human metabolism, giving him enhanced physical capabilities.
However, it requires him to consume great amounts of food to keep his energy running.

    Enhanced Physical Prowess:

Enhanced strength, agility, reflexes, speed and dexterity. All of it is pseudo-Super-human. He's not super-strong, and he still needs to exercise to keep his muscles working. He is able to bench press 400 KG. He can lift about half of that over his head. His agility could be likened to that of a adept gymnast. His reaction time is approximately less than a second, similarly to a trained marksman. His speed is on par with your average Olympic sprinter.

    Enhanced Healing Factor:
About four times the natural human ability to regenerate.
He also regains his stamina quicker, which allows him to keep in physical stress for a great portion of time.

    Probability Manipulation
Passively gives him changed luck. Either good, or bad. It's never big things, like winning on the lotto, but it can be such things like making himself stumble, often it's a combination of the two, leading to himself believing himself to be the luckiest loser on the planet.

    Personality:
He is one nice, shy little nerd. Who'd usually sit around with his video-games, not paying much attention to much else than what High-Score to beat next. He is very sweet and kind, and is definitely not one to seek trouble. Yet, somehow, trouble keeps on finding him. Be it some thug breaking into his house, who got a little more than he bargained for.

Being a mutant hasn't changed James personality all that much, he's both scared of his powers, but also very excited over them. During his time at the institute, he have found it to be a very pleasant stay. There have been no real trouble, some people have been dicks to him, even here. But he have learned how to manage that. He is pretty smart, and is above average in history and science, and if it wasn't for how easily distracted he is from focusing, he could probably been good at Math, too.

    History:
Born in Lawrence, Kansas. His father a construction worker, and his mother a writer. They made a decent earnings, enough to race James, whom was the sole child, at least. James's childhood was fairly normal, despite the fact that he was bullied in school, he were rather chubby as a child, and it kept him from playing with the rest of the kids, as he simply couldn't keep up with them. When he came into high-school, he suddenly began losing weight, in the span of four months, with some minor physical activity, he had dropped to a slim-fit, on the border of skinny from his previously fat self.

No one could really explain this, how could he have lost this much weight, when he kept eating the same, and with very little exercise. No doctor could make sense of this, except for one man, a bald man in a wheel-chair. Professor Charles Xavier, whom had explained to James and his parents how James's body had changed so much. He had explained how James's X-gene had become active, and that, thanks to equipment he have at his institute, he could locate James's signature when he had began his metamorphos. But Charles had been curious, and had waited to see what would become of the young mutant, as well as to be able to use the act to his advantage in the argument, because face it, people don't like it when you claim that their child is a mutant.

After a couple of days, James and his parents had decided that he would go to the institute, and so he did. One october day when he was only 15 years old. Since then, he have stayed there, and is getting along great with the staff, and even with few of the students. He is even practicing the use of his powers. However, at times, he still misses home.

He have been in contact with Nick Fury for quite some time, this is in secret though, and the only one who knows about this, safe for himself and Nick, is Charles Xavier. Reason that Fury has gotten in contact with James, is because his mutation is essentially the same as the Super-Soldier serum, the project that gave us Captain America in the 40's.

    Relations!
    Charles Xavier:
The sole reason that James even decided to set his foot in the institute. Sure, Professor X was kind of a hard-ass at time, his 150 minutes long lecture of photosynthesis wasn't exactly the light off James's life, luckily, James had his DS, to keep him company. He respects Charles, and sees him like an older brother, or the smart uncle that always came with the best presents on Christmas. He is the one who connected James to Nick Fury, and to SHIELD, and the one who advised James to keep this relation quiet. He is usually bugging the professor for his past relations to the terrorist Magneto, but is always dismissed with some half-assed answer.

    Nick Fury:
James's relationship to Nick isn't exactly healthy, no. Nick have put him up to some tests, athletically and mentally, and he have indeed made sure that James's mutation is similar to the Super Soldier-program. Only that James's powers seems to be at a slightly lower level. Nick is utterly disgusted by James's lack of discipline, and how he have no interest at all in taking up the mantle left by Rogers to serve his country.

    Tessa Niles.
Probably the one in Staff that gets him. Despite how mysterious she is, it doesn't matter to James, James has been a lonely child his entire life, and Tessa is probably as close to a big-sister as he has ever had. He always enjoys her company, and whenever she speaks, he actually tries to pay attention. He always enjoys her little "Daily Adventures" and all of the things she comes up with. James is forever grateful for Wednesday Game-Night. Despite the fact that every night is game night for this young mutant. He constantly refers to her as Tess. Tess is also helping him get his driving License.

    Hank McCoy
Hank is a friend of James, James do enjoy having science lessons with Hank, even if he doesn't pay as much attention to the young teacher, as he does to Tessa whenever she talks. He finds Hanks powers amusing, to say the least, and never fails to be impressed by them. He and Hank sometimes plays 1 on 1 at the Basket Ball Court, Hank always trying to apply physics to their matches, as physical exercise, like games, actually focuses the young boy.

    Jean Grey
Jean is fun, she's popular, but she's never a tease, or mean to James, like all of the other people like her he had met in his past had been. He enjoys Jean's company, whenever he's not in the middle of kicking some dude in Italy's ass in Modern Warfare 3. He enjoys sitting around with Jean talking about things, he likes to try to figure out more about her past, while, he's also a little scared what would happen if she'd find out about James's connections to SHIELD, heck, for all he knew, she already had read his mind enough to know about it.

    Estella Rey
" The Latina Hurricane", is what James thinks of Estella. She's nice and like Jean, not a tease, despite being one of the more popular girls, but she also turns everything into a mess once she gets into his room. One second, everything's nice and dandy, like James wants it, his bag of snacks on the side of the sofa, the controller in his hand, the TV on in front of him. And then BAM, Estella's in the room, she plays for a while, and twentie minutes later, his room looks like the zone of world war three. James, do however enjoy playing Video Games with her, despite how frustrated she gets she never quits trying to beat him, and occassionaly, he let's her, maybe just because he likes to see her smile.
Needless to say, he have a crush on her, but he's denying this at all cost.

    Scott Summers.
Well organized, loved by basically every person on Campus, a few exceptions. He's excellent at everything he does, and the typical Mister.Perfect. He's everything James is not. James isn't so much jealous of him, as he respects him. To him, Scott is the jock that decided that James wasn't worth his time, thought, surely, from time to time, they might meet on the track, or in the gym when either of them are working out. He reminds him of a boy from his past, a football player, whom had been the coolest dude in school when James went to middle-school.

    Olivia Rush
The person ,whom, to James, seems to have aimed her life to make his life as pestered as possible. Like her sole mission is life, is to make James's day to shit. Why? He have no idea. Maybe she didn't like his Tattoo? However, she also cheers him up, for whenever James feels like he have bad luck, he thinks of Olivia Rush, whom was so appropriately named, and what her story for coming to the institute is, it cannot help but bring a smile to his lips.

    Kenji Mori
James, might very well have been Kenji's first American friend. The two of them met one day when James sat, casually playing Pokemon, and was looking for someone to battle. Surprisingly enough, he found someone on the Lan-Router,and battled them. Much to his surprise, his team got their asses kicked. From there on, their friendship blossomed, all things James knew about Anime and Manga suddenly wasn't so trivial, his addiction to the Pokemon games, that oh, so many teased him about had suddenly been found acceptable by a kindered spirit. On top of that, Kenji helped him fend off people who were mean to him, as he was both foreign and looked like a total bad-ass.

    Christopher Gryphon
Where to even begin? Chris, the only person at the entire institute that James whole heartily enjoys hanging out with. James has had a bad-day, and just wanna enjoy a nice gaming session? Guess who invites himself in and brings a pack of cola, and his own Controller? (This alone gives him great score in James's book.) Despite coming in uninvited, James doesn't mind, not at all. He and Chris can goof around an entire day, and at the end of the day, they can still have a heart to heart about things, how they feel about people on the institute, which girls are the hottest, or what game looks the most promising from the latest convention.

    Angelica Jones
One of those people that James just haven't paid enough attention to. Her powers seems really cool, but that's basically all there is to it, she does seem like she's very interested in just learning about her powers, and not so much about interacting with the gamer-geek on campus. But on the other hand, the fact that so many put time and effort into noticing him, on good or bad, was still more than he had hoped for. No doubt about it though, she is nice on the eyes.

    Name: Tyson Hayes
    Code name (If Applicable): Pyro
    Age: 20
    Sex: Male
    Appearance:

Mutation: Pyrokinesis. Seth possesses the ability to create fire and manipulate it however he wants to. He came to the institute to learn how to control this destructive ability.
Personality: Tyson is a soft spoken individual. He normally follows the crowd and takes orders. But when he is angry, watch out.
History: Born to landscaper Bentley Hayes and bartender Maya Rivero Hayes, Tyson had a rough childhood. His mother and father constantly fought and bickered, whether it be about their only son's grades (which happened to be above average) or Maya's job as a bartender. One day, at age 19, upon returning to home from college (he came for the weekend), Tyson learned from his dad that his parents had just gotten divorced. In a fit of rage, Tyson accidentally burned the house down and his father died in the process. Probably not the best way to discover your powers. This incident also greatly lowered his self esteem. He dialed the Suicide Hotline number and told the woman who answered everything I just told you now. "Please hold, I'm going to get you someone who can assist you much better than I can," the woman said. The line clicked over to none other than Charles Xavier. "I can help you, Mr. Hayes."

Really liked the sound of this role play, so if you don't mind I would like to try my hand at a re-imagining of a Scott Summers character. I figured since he is a cannon character I should prove myself worthy of taking on such an important role so I went ahead and made his character sheet a bit longer. More to show that I am up to the task and if you really know the characters history you can see a few parts where I pay homage to this truly fantastic hero. Hope you find this work acceptable Ruby. If not let me know so I might try and get in with another character. All the same happy to see you still working the beat and coming up with great ideas.

    Hope you enjoy!

    Mutation
Optic Force Blasts -- Scott has the power to emit concussion beams made from an unknown energy that is emitted from his eyes. This energy has been described as an "optic blast." The beams have the appearance of red light; however, they do not give off heat and instead deliver concussive force without recoil. The beams are tremendously powerful. The beams will shoot continuously unless Scott closes his eyes or is wearing something with ruby quartz around his eyes.

    Personality
Even at a young age Scott was somewhat assertive and even outspoken. His father was proud at the clear signs that his second son was born to lead. Scott shows an excellent ability to understand difficult organizational problems and create solid solutions. Intelligent and well-informed, he has often excelled at public speaking. Above all else Scott values knowledge and competence, and has little patience with inefficiency or disorganization. With most things he is able to calm himself and be patient while dealing with normal tasks, but when it comes to anything involving the X-Men be it training, actual combat, or even run of the mill meetings he has near zero tolerance for anything other than straight business. This straightforwardness has lead some to coin the term the iron fisted boy scout.

    History
Scott was born the second son of Major Christopher Summers and Katherine Anne. With Chris being a pilot in the United States Air Force the family was stationed in Alaska when Scott came into the world, and it was there that the family decided to stay for the next several years. The picture of a perfect family the Summers were no strangers to the unexplained as Scott's older brother had, several times already, shown stranger and even otherworldly powers at times. Still they decided that this was simply part of the stress of raising a child and pushed it to the back of their minds. This practice became all too common as their oldest continued to grow but was still used. This act of avoidance; however, was impossible once Scott finally started to show his powers at the age of seven.

During a simple school yard fight Scott got pushed back off the side of a playground tower and landed on the back of his head. The resulting injury lead to him being rushed to the hospital and treated for a possible severe blow to the brain. When x-rays came back the family and doctors were relieved to see that it was a concussion and nothing more troubling. All the same it came to everyone’s shock when the first time Scott opened his eyes after the accident a massive and continues stream of red energy shot from his eyes and demolished everything in its path. Realizing that their two sons were likely mutants Chris and Katherine Summers did everything they could to help minimize the blow back and help their sons.

For Scott the family decided to fabricate a lie to help hid his destructive abilities. After moving down to Seattle and returning to his job as a test pilot for the military the Summers began to pretend that Scott was blind. Even going so far as to get a Seeing Eye dog and buying specialized medication which had a side effect of paralyzing a person’s eyesight and in Scott's case rendering his powers mute. Scott was eager to go along with this ploy due to a fear of his power. The chaos that had ensued in the hospital was terrifying to him and the fact that it could happen again just by him opening his eyes scared him more than anything. And so at the age of 9 Scott Summers was declared blind.

Once the façade was thrown over him Scott dove into the character of a blind teenager. He quickly picked up brail and with the help of his seeing eye dog learned how to even make his way to school on his own. He also decided to start learning to play the piano and quickly grew to love the instrument for all its complexity. Soon enough the horrible memory of what took place in that Alaskan hospital was distant and almost forgotten. Pain; however, can come in many different forms. On the eve of his fifteenth birthday Scott and his brothers got a visit that they would remember forever. It was a class A dressed Air Force officer with a single American Flag. With the flag the officer held a single letter which had written on it the details of how the Summer boys lost their mother and father. A plane crash during a standard flight inspection, Christopher had taken Katherine up because of her love of seeing the world like a bird.

Weeks turned into months of depression for Scott. Soon enough he had no way of getting the medication he needed to keep his power and sight in check. This brought him to the point where he would tie a bandage around his head. If it wasn’t for the continued pressure from Nyx Scott still believes he might have never recovered from the loss. Nyx of course was his Seeing Eye dog. Who as it turned out was a little more special than other dogs. She was in fact a holder of the X-gene as well. Her abilities were a telepathic link which she shared with Scott. Like a mother she pulled Scott together and helped him through the most painful transition period of his life. She knew when he was scared and talked to him. She knew when Scott was worried and she listened, but above all else Nyx loved Scott because they took care of each other and that bond has never been broken.

By the time Professor Xavier came to visit the young man who was now living with one of his father’s best friends and fellow pilots Scott had matured into a very capable member of society. For days the professor and Scott talked. Not just about why Xavier had come, but of things much grander and simpler than his dream of humans and mutants living together. After a long talk, one lasting hours and hours, Scott formally agreed to join the Professor in New York. He said goodbye to his adoptive father and fighting his fear of flying got on a plane and left for the Institute. There he learned more about the world of mutants in a day than he would have in his lifetime had he kept running from his true self. He was greeted with a pair of ruby quartz sunglasses which had been shown to help dam his constant energy output.

Through trial and combat Scott emerged as the leader his father had believed he was going to become. Committing himself to the dream the Professor shared with him almost two years ago Scott has led the X-Men on countless missions. He has even overcome his fear of flying as well as attempt to reach out to his brothers who he had regrettably lost contact with when his family died. Though he had no need for her skills as a Seeing Eye dog Scott still has Nyx and has even brought her on many missions. A strong leader and capable friend Scott Summers has really come into his own and taken control of his world and destiny.

    Extra

Scott has been unable to admit to anyone that he is still severely afraid of his own power. Only those with the ability to listen to his thoughts would have any sort of idea of how terrified he is that he still can't control his power. It is because of this fear that he likely learned to plan such heavy power training practice and is so hard on everyone to continue with their own practice. He is also secretly jealous that he is the only member of the X-Men who has close to zero control over his powers.

    Nyx Character Sheet

    Mutation
Telepathy – Nyx can communicate with others by using her mind.
Telepathic Link – Nyx is mentally linked with Scott unless both wish for it to stop. When connected they share emotions, thoughts, and pain.

    Personality
Protective : Loyal : Happy :Helpful : Kind : Obedient :Cheerful : Brave

    History
After being certified as a Seeing Eye dog she was sent to a community center to be given to a family with need for one. On the day Jake and his family came in she rushed over to Scott and seemed immediately drawn to him (Perhaps due to the fact that she could sense he was a mutant). Her master didn't need any more convincing and ten minutes later Scott was walking out with Nyx. Since then Scott has always been with Nyx. During the dark times after Scott lost his parents Nyx began to communicate with him. It took some time to get used to, but once both had become comfortable with it they became even closer.

I've been thinking about a character, and I've tried to approach it differently than I (presumably) normally would've; however, I want to run this by you, Ruby, before committing. My idea was of a character less "pathetic" than the average mutant that you usually encounter; someone at the very opposite end of the social hierarchy; an all-American of whatever, queen-bee, and a complete asshole (excuse my French). This person detests freaks, oddities of nature, social rejects, you name it; however, her bubble is destroyed when she, quite unwillingly, becomes one of them. Her plot, or "arc" would be a social journey, becoming a humble human being from the forced interactions with the people she has no interest in associating herself with. To balance this contradiction my suggestion for the mutant ability would be spacetime manipulation; I realize that it is quite extreme, but the concept of the character can only work if the power is extreme, i.e. the tradeoff.

Let me know what you think.

An 'Accepted Characters' list was added, though it only has the four NPCs and Miss Rey so far.

I'm going to give a general answer, because I think other people need the information below as well. I think it'll help everyone with potential CSs. After the general answer, I'll send you a more specific PM. <3

Xavier has been carefully putting together this plan of a class of students for a while now. It's a safe bet to assume he's gone out of his way to ensure that the personalities on the team aren't oil and water. If there's a character who would treat her follow students like dogs, there's a high proabability that character wouldn't have been invited to the Institute in the first place. It's going to be tough to produce the first group of X-Men as it is without any added complications like dysfunction, so why introduce such a quality to the group at all?

Xavier isn't an all knowing sagely grandfather; he has an agenda, and a dream to try to turn into reality despite a world of odds stacked against him. With that in mind, he knows he can't accept all potential students the first go-round. He wants a mix of personalities and powers.

In terms of 'what I think', understanding Xavier and his point of view might really help those putting together Character Sheets. Do I like the idea of someone who goes through major character development during the course of the game? Yes, please. But it still has to fit into what Xavier's looking for. As an example...Wolverine wouldn't be added to this team of students. Bad attitude, not a great initial personality to interject into the young students. (Ironically Logan might be added as Institute Staff later on.) Could Logan give us some awesome character development? You bet. Would it work with the circumstances of this game's set up? Maybe not as much.

Also keep in mind the group has already been together for a year. So it's likely any shock value character development of hating your fellow students than not hating them so much to even maybe being attached to them would have already happened in the story.

(How each character views each other character and possible history will be determined in a nifty OOC 'game' before the actual game starts IC.)

Order of the (spacey) Advanced Roleplayer

  10. #10
    Name: Christopher Lee Gryphon
    Code name (If Applicable): Shift
    Age: 22
    Sex: Male
    Appearance:

    Mutation:

Shape-Shifter - Chris's genetic and cellular structure instantaneously rearranges according to mental input. This allows him to alter his form at will, such as allowing his body to change in size and change colors. He can impersonate others or enhance one's body to combat, either by turning into animal, monsters, make the body stronger, or transform his limbs into various weapons, non-moving or non-functioning parts, such as blades.

Personality: Chris is cocky, arrogant, and he easily gets full of himself and enjoys attention, dreaming to become the Hero of Mutants. An immature boy who tends to make jokes even when fighting. This attitude can sometimes make him look obnoxious or dumb, often resulting in criticisms from a few. These traits stem from Chris's attempts to hide his own fear about the situation. Even so he's also capable of great leadership skills and tends to get serious when the situation requires it. Despite his immaturity, Chris is actually good-hearted, and his actions are motivated above all by a strong and sincere will to help and save others in need. He's shown to deeply care for other's lives, and would choose to save people by himself even when he dislikes them. This causes him to have a strong dislike for sacrifices or life compromises and occasionally act against reason. With that being said, Chris is protective of his friends and will be ready to defend them without hesitation.

When he sees people hurt by his fault or because of his failures, Chris tends to get mad and acts much more violent and aggressive than he usually does. He can began acting ruthless, aggressive, pessimistic, cold-hearted, nasty, and even ready to fight those that get in his way. Even after all that, Chris has a friendly and caring personality, easily making friends with almost everyone he meets.

History: Christopher Lee Gryphon was born in Dallas, Texas. His mother was a waitress whilst his father was a detective. As he grew up, He spent most of his time with his mother since his father was on duty. As much as he didn't get to see the man, Chris was actually proud of his father, looking up to him. There was no time that the young Chris couldn't be seen, waiting at the front door when it was almost time for father to get home. But it was one night that truly changed things. His father didn't get to come home. He died that night stopping some men from stealing a car. Chris was only 10 at the time, effectively harming his young mind.

As the years passed into his high-school life, Chris had became an attention loving boy. See his mother couldn't provide the attention that his father could give, so Chris was always doing something to gain fame. Fame of Chris's kind was always followed by trouble which even got his kicked out of a school. It was noted that Chris never get in trouble for picking on others. Instead he had incidents of protecting bullied children, showing off his father's spirit within him. But this attention to fame was what brought about Chris's X-gene activation. He was trying to sneak out of school when a teacher caught him except she thought that he was one of the security guards. Once Chris found out, he ran out the building and screaming like someone had shot him.

From that point on, Chris was intent on learning more about himself and his powers. He spent a few years honing his powers, doing things that were only considered good though he did peak on the women from time to time. It was around the latter part of his life that he met a man named Charles Xavier. This man literally made his known by showing up at Chris's dormitory. From there he explained that Chris was a mutant and since Chris was always shape-shifting then it was hard to pin him down once Xavier's technology located him. Chris didn't believe him at first until Xavier used his telepathy.

It was after that day when Chris decided to join with Xavier's institute. It felt as though he could do something bigger, and achieve things that his father had told him. He's been with Xavier for three years now and has learned more about his powers then ever before.

    Interactions:
    Charles Xavier [NPC]
Chris go on and on about how cool and awesome Charles Xavier is but, there was one thing that was always highlight that Chris looked up to Charles like a father figure. Regardless that they were only fifteen years apart, Charles could see how much pain the death of Chris's had caused and was willing to check up on him often. Even with such things, Charles and Chris were still able to talk as adults. It can be said that Charles, without his powers, was the first person to truly understand and see past the facade that Chris put up, even commending the man when he was able to take up leadership when Scott was sick.

    Tessa Niles [NPC]
Throughout the past year, Chris has gotten along rather well with Tessa. Tessa plays along with Chris's goofy nature, allowing him to joke except when the situation calls for a serious tone. It seems to be that Tessa is only one that literally does not tire from Chris's personality and is the first to speak with him when he's too cocky for his own good.

    Hank McCoy [NPC]
It's hard to identify a relationship between Chris and Hank as both men don't speak often to each other. What can be stated is that when they do talk then it is generally a good standing between the two especially since Chris actively protects Hank from Olivia. Honestly Chris hopes to rectify this in the following the year and become great friends if that's possible.

    Jean Grey [NPC]
Oh what could be said about Jean and Chris? Hmm maybe it's the fact that she's one of the only people able to out prank him? Or maybe it's the fact that, like Charles, she can see through his facade and understand his motives. While they weren't the greatest of friends, Jean was someone that Chris could come talk to whenever he was feeling down or had a problem. Now if only Chris could get Jean to pull the biggest prank of the school year.

    Estella Rey [Ruby]
This girl. There was always that person that you were just attracted to and by damn was it Estella. Well it was a little more then an attraction as Chris had a crush on her. More then likely EVERYONE knew about it from the simple fact that when they first met, Chris turned a bright pink....literally. She was eighteen so, there was no problem from anyone as to having a crush on her. Though Chris was the goofy crush as he didn't know a lick of what to say to her but, he knew how to be a friend which was more then enough.

    Olivia Rush [Gravija]
Olivia. One of his best friends, if that was the term you could use between the two. See was the super hot chick of the group with the bad attitude but, she actually interacted with Chris on the regular. It was weird honestly but, no one could argue with the outcome. It appeared to be that Olivia wasn't THAT much of a bitch when interacting with Chris. This was Charles' idea after all and maybe something good would come of it. Only "time" would tell. Oh how Chris loved to make time jokes.

    James William Washington [Hillan]
Let's keep this simple. James is and always will be Chris's greatest friend. He's the guy that gladly lets Chris join him in his gaming fun. Chris never hesitates to include James and even getting him into trouble sometimes. If there was one person that Chris spent a majority of his time around then it was James. Yeah Bromance was a strong bond.

    Kenji Mori [Mogtaki]
Chris and Kenji share a respectable bond forged by the fires of the Institute and guided by the swift hands of James even if James was intentional upon such a thing. It's noticed that Kenji handles Chris's teasing and pranks very well to the point of throwing his own back but, it's all the name of fun. Kenji can even be full on his ki and Chris can still get along positively with the boy. Lately Chris has asked Kenji to teach him Japanese which is probably the hardest thing that he's ever attempted to learn.

    Scott Summers [justice]
Chris is quite effortlessly tired of Scott's attitude. It's like Scott doesn't even know the word fun exists. He always acts big, and talks like he's the wisest guy around. Scott may be the leader of the team but, Chris found it difficult to be around Scott for any longer then two minutes. Chris refuses to abide by Scott but, he does respect him. As it turns out that Chris is the only person that Scott can trust to provide leadership when he can't or the team splits up.
