Lord Asmodeus of Avaritia "Twister of Fate" "Unrighteous Destiny"
From the inferno he was created, but now he resides much closer to Paradisia. He has collected the prowess of being in many legends over the years- some good, some bad. Asmodeus remembers very little of his "Childhood", for to him it was a molecule of water within the gallon of time. Before he became legend to man, beast, and protector however he had achieved the growth of his greatest abilities. He found a set of keys within a pool of magma that could bend to open any lock, magical or not or even those without a keyhole, and he grew in the strength of his two major powers- throwing fire and influencing the fate. Fate could sing one song, but Asmodeus could take the same harp and force the strings to sing another. Although according to legend Avaritia destroyed itself, which was partially true, it was Asmodeus who weakened the city by causing a civil war, then finishing off the remainder with his small army of loyal followers. No human historian knows of this, but every demon does. But while his main accomplishment is Avaritia, which he was not given credit for by the mortals, many of the lesser ones are sung in songs and myths and legends of mortals, which he is proud of.
After Avaritia, his first major accomplishment in life, he decided to settle down a bit in the now ruined city. He found a group of particularly attractive Succubus, and added them to his "court" for himself and his visitors. Over time, he fell further in with one of them named Malindra, and for the last thousand years she has sat on the armchair of the golden throne as the queen of the land. While demon romance is awkward, both Asmodeus and Malindra care more for the other than themselves, so therefore many of their more evil accomplishments are actually done to impress rather than out of joy. For instance, Asmodeus actually stopped Archdevil Ba'al from taking over Paradisia (Ba'al actually did have the power to do so, despite the strength of the protectors at that time) at one point by forcing destiny against him. Every one of his generals betrayed the Archdevil. Then when Ba'al decided to attack Paradisia anyways, the Archdevil "accidentally" tripped into the tip of a sword of a weak protector, who suddenly became VERY wealthy from his "skill". How the humans eventually figured out that he did this, he does not know, but neither does he care. He received the credit. He impressed Malindra. Asmodeus pissed off every other demon in existence. Many minions joined his banner however, making him Lord of Avaritia, twister of fate.
While he has done many bad things to Paradisia as well, he has actually probably helped the poor city more than hurt them. Not directly of course, but more so by forcing every other demon to fail time and time again. While most of his actions against the city involve killing a minor politician or simply gambling away all the money in a tavern in an hour, he has recently caused something much more detrimental. Recently, a boy figured out how to steal the powers of a protector. Asmodeus considered this entertaining and once again stole the harp of fate. By allowing this boy to live despite everything going against him, Asmodeus gave time for the boy to spread information on how to steal the powers. By the time the boy died, the guild was strong and had been founded for long enough to stand on it's own. While some people jokingly or insultingly say "that is the work of Asmodeus! Strike it down!" very few people realize that the statement is actually true.
While still powerful enough to defeat most, while still legendary enough to be the source of blame for everything bad happening (Bad luck is often responded with "Asmodeus seems to be against me today!" or something of the like), he feels like as if ever since giving that boy his power that the strings fate's harp are more quiet than ever- and thereby so is he. New magic seemed to be much weaker, and even old powers are loosing their strength. While initially he waved it off, the lack of Protector's powers as of recent have really made him begin to worry that this may be a twist of fate that would bring an end to him and everything magical. In contrast, direct demon powers are much more powerful- demons now run faster, stronger, and more numerously than before. But even for the hordes of evil, their unique abilities are becoming weaker and weaker. While initially the war between the mortal and the immortal was one of magic, it is slowly starting to feel more like a battle of iron strength. And Asmodeus, while an expert with many weapons from experience over the years, knows that this new breed of monsters is stronger than him.....

Twister of Fate, can throw fire around.
His cloak, his keys, his obsidian blade, and iron rope. Rope is always useful. Normally has either cards or dice with him, but never both.
