    Journalist History

"Why is it whenever we need to check out a survalince van you pick the cleaning crew one?" Devin asked his partner.

"It was the only one available." Eric said in his defense. "Besides your just snapping at me because you didn't get laid last night." A knowing smile walked across Eric's face as he reached for some chips and reset the microphone volume.

"What makes you say that?" Devin said with a cross tone.

Eric looked visibly confused as he started to voice his reason. "You had just said your date was a gold digging diva and..." before he could continue Devin cut in.

"Right I said my date was. I never said anything about the girl I meat after the date was over.

The two cops in the cleaning van continued their conversant.ion for a few more hours. It had been another boring day of listening for bad people to say something incriminating while know people were listening. Needless to sayitwasajobthat very few people liked or desired. It was killing Devin slowly who had less than a year ago been working the exciting and dangerous life of an undercover officer. His partner, Eric, was married and had a kid along the way so he signed up for survalience dirty so his family wouldn't worry. Plus he was the kind of guy who couldn't seem to say no to his wife.

Once they got back to their works office the two checked the va back into the lot. There next to where they parked was two other vans. Ones fake party supplies and the other a flower delivery van. Devin didn't say anything but he did give Eric a look which got a simple shrug in response. The two then went up to do a few hours of paperwork before getting ready to clock out for te night. All in all it was slow mind numbing work and it was starting to very quickly kill Devin

"I am not snooping Drew, I am researching." The red head emphasised her last word in a dramatic fashion, Drew was always rediculously cautious. Which is probably why he never got the big stories. "I am hurt that you'd consider me to be a snoop." With a yawn, April made her way to the coffee machine. The day was going by in a painfully slow manner, and the fact that she'd been up listening to her neighbors arguing since five, wasn't helping her mood. Nothing new had come in for days, the crime syndicate she'd been following in a figurative sense seemed to be lying low. Which was incredibly frustrating when you had a deadline to meet. Deadlines, deadlines, deadlines..always deadlines. Sometimes, April wasn't even sure why she was a journalist anymore.

The blue light on her computer monitor flashed angrily at her as she sifted through her email, "Spam, spam...penis enlargement? No thank you.." Deleting a whole load of messages in one foul swoop, she came across a rather unfriendly correspondence.

    'Stop before we stop you'

"Well, isn't that just charming." Sighing she scratched her head thoughtfully. It wasn't the first time that she'd been warned off of a story, and she was pretty sure that it wouldn't be the last. Hell, it just meant that she was close to exposing something big. The adrenaline junkie in her rather enjoyed it, you just can't beat a threatening email at breakfast time. Her brown eyes flicked across to her overloaded in-tray as she realised that the excitement would have to wait for now. Grumbling to herself, she made her way over to the filing cabinet.

    "I need a PA."
