Definition of "Homoplatonic"

A homoplatonic, or a homplatonic relationship, applies to relationships were procreation, sexual recreation, and romance are completely null, dormant, suppressed, or nonexistent. This applies only to same sex friendships, or those who are naturally more inclined to make friends with a same sex person. Even though it would imply no relationships on a platonic level were with opposing sex people, it is not this way, and simply means the person has a natural same sex attraction when it comes to making friendships.
Homoplatonics are not exempt from hugging, touching (nonsexually), and sleeping together (nonsexually), and can include cuddles, huggles, snuggles, and huggle-wuvvins. However, they are exempt from sex, kissing, dates (in the romantic sense), marriage, and other such pursuits.
Origin
One day, a formally bisexual blonde straight boy was thinking about why he had a same sex attraction for guys yet did not want any sort romantic/sexual relationship with them. He could not be gay, or even bi, yet he still was drawn naturally to guys when making friends or meeting new people. The epiphany came by studying two words: Homosexual, Homoromantic. Both words used a suffix and an adjective describing a type of relationship and the parties involved. Using the word "platonic" in terms of relationships and the prefix "homo" the word was thus coined.
Why is it Not Gay?
Homosexuality refers to one who has sexual attractions and often romantic feelings for another individual of the same sex. Homoplatonicism refers to one who would find the former attractions and actions disgusting, undesirable, against nature, or simply wrong. Homoplatonicism almost always stops at hugs and sleeping side by side, more close friends might sleep in their "skivvies" together.
Theoretical thought:
Some believe that the idea of homosexuality comes from the fact the said homosexual lacked a strong same sex platonic relationship in their childhood and teenage years, the need eventually evolved into a need of a different form of love. It is also speculated you are more likely to be homosexual if your parent of opposite gender is the strong leadership figure.
