Surreal Post Apoc RP Intcheck

Ok SO I figured I'd drop my next RP in here. Becouse I like to thin casual will fit this kind of open-ended rp very well.

What this rp is, Is a brainchild from my old MSPFA turned into a more ambitious project. It's not your average NUKES RUINED THE WORLD scenario-- Its not rooted in reality. Instead, this RP will strive to really flip things on its head. You see in this world, we forget all the names of places an people that has or have been. Our characters will be inhabitants of a land where imagination and reality have merged, here ideas and pen can be your sword. A place where a name holds amazing powers and truly define you.



The premise is that the two realms of Imagination and Reality bled into one another. Imagination being the realm where all the nightmares and creatures of human legend and lore dwells along all our silly dreams and horrible nightmares. These beings are reffered to as Figments. And in the chaos of this event, something even stranger happened. Due to one lonely dying kids wish, all names and the knowledge they represented dissappeared. In the wake of this, te world already in chaos descended into despair. Figments lost their shape, their very soul as names were usually what made them what they were. Human family could no loner emeber eachothers names, their memories all confused and melded together. The world ended.


NOW, I do have a far more elequent and thought out version of this written up. But that's the TLR version. We'll be playing inhabitants of the new world. And your NAME will be important in this. Why? becouse it will shape you entirely. Its not Sofia or Lars or Jun. Its Caretaker or Sign Maker or The Warden.

Brotha Hell, I am a forever fan, and this sounds like the hippest premise yet. Would names be based on occupations or roles or so? And would it be fair to assume that most people gain names at an older age [or maybe names change as people's roles in society change]?

Kinda reminds me of the Books of the Cataclysm/Books of the Change by Sean Williams.
That is a very good thing.

Vhien: Names can change, but rarely do so. They are a product of several factors, your birthplace, your actions, your appearence. Also, Once you have a name, your Gift manifests. More on gifts later in the OOC thou.
