Entu DiraThe day was late in the year when the sky was blue and the air was crisp but off in the distance rain clouds threatened the sky with crackles and gushing rain. This was the type of day that Chi enjoyed the most as the threatening rain clouds brought in travelers and sailors alike all getting shelter from the rain while the sky was still clear. Some came in groups while others came in alone but soon the bar inn was nicely filled with the happy ramble of the lot.
Chi had spent the day grooming all the horses but when she saw the clouds she hurried inside and assumed the role of barmaid with trained grace. Elves were known to live in the forests and they never liked loud places but Chi's family was very different. Chi had the natural swiftness of elves and easy navigated around drunks and all sorts with her hands full, never spilling a drop of beer to this day. Today felt nice, no bar fights threatened the peace and there was a fair amount of overpaying travelers that hastily joined the fun.
Chi herself had never been one for drinking and always took the chance of getting secrets from the sailors when they were completely out of it. Today she had found a sailor that babbled to her about his lover back in Narha and how he had to leave her to live the life of a sailor. Chi had listened with interest as he told her tales of how the legendary city of Narha that was the peace keeper between the Karquls and the Meredans. Lately the peace between them had been slowly crumbling, and the beginnings of war were being threatened. Chi had heard that statement many a time and she frowned worriedly, hoping it would not disrupt Entu Dira. Mostly only Meredans visited the inn but on rare occasions a lone Karqul would stop by, the inn always took interest in them and Chi loved trying to pull what she could in tales and secrets from them, they always had different tales to what she was used to.
