Anyway, I'm trying to make my character sheet which, (as you would know if you knew me) will probably take forever and a half. Hopefully I won't miss the opening of the IC, though.

I'd say I've learned alot from that introduction, your name, age and gender, whats going on in your life at the moment and that you aren't very good at introductions. That seems like a decent introduction to me.

I'm Crystal, and I am of the female type. It really REALLY surprises people when they find out I am actually a Canadian Air Force fighter pilot. Considering that I roleplay, watch anime, play video games with my younger brother. Honestly though, outside of work, I'm another human. So I should be allowed to do all the same things civilians do. That's my belief at the very least.

So yes, I'm a nerd outside of work. And when I'm sitting behind a desk or when I'm in a barracks, at least I have something to pass the time with.

I'm a fan of all things cyberpunk and space. Big advanced metropolis cities of the future absolutely blow me away and makes me wish more than anything that that time is now. I've been roleplaying since before my enlistment with the (at the time) Canadian Forces, now known as the Canadian Air Force. Writing has always been a thing of mine ever since I was in elementary school and I even tend to wonder what my life would be like if I took to a career of writing rather than warfighting.

That doesn't go to say I hate my job, because above everything else, flying has been a deep passion of mine. And military service is a responsibility I feel everybody should owe up to.

Wow... A Canadian fighter pilot. Not every day you meet one of them, now is it? Well Whoami, I'd like to tell you the same thing I told Mr. Navy(Canti): Thank you for your service. Yeah, I'm not Canadian, but I can still respect someone serving their country, can't I? Anyway, I heard that the Canadian military shares some interests with our's(the United States').

It's amazing how many military people are on here. I would never have guessed that this was one of the things military personnel did in their free time.

Appearance:

His fingers and toes are webbed together with gills clearly visible on his neck. Along with the webbing, bluish green scales similar to that of a fish cover the tops of his hands and feet and small portions of his arms and legs. The same scales are present, but in lesser quantities, around his gills as well.

Curious would be the best word to describe Kala. He has a desire to know everything, but will often get distracted along the way. Talking to people, even if he doesn’t know them very well, is one his favorite activities. While he loves to talk, Kala is also a good listener, knowing from experience that sometimes a person just needs someone who will listen. Being not very fond of staying inside for a long time, he prefers to be outside, where there, in his opinion, is much more to see. Tenacious would be another great word to describe him. Tell him that something can’t be done and he’ll keep trying until someone manages to talk some sense into him, or he succeeds.

Kala’s a person that is very easy to get along with, and enjoys the company of just about anyone. There is one exception to that rule though. Kala can’t stand pure blooded Nixies. He tends to just avoid them though, so it rarely ever proves to be a problem. He’s got a rather large group of friends, but none of them are very close by any means.
Biography:
Kala was a boy born to a mother that would have preferred he not exist in the first place. She was a rather high ranking member of Nixie society who was on business in Wicken when she met his father. It wasn’t a relationship that was meant to last by any means. She already had a family back in Pheas, and very well knew that going back with a Hybrid child would mean losing everything she had worked so hard to gain. So she stayed in Wicken, but only until Kala was born. The moment that she could, the young boy was left with his father and she disappeared, back towards the arctic waters. From that point on, he might as well have only had one parent to begin with, because his mother never returned and to this day would refuse to recognize him as her actual son.

Even with all of that, Kala still led a pretty good life. Where his mother failed at being a good parent, his father, an elf by the name of Enthl, excelled. Anyone on the outside looking in at the rather small family could tell that he was trying to make up Kala’s mother not being around. For a while, his efforts were in vain. Of course someone who was rather young and didn’t have a great understanding of the world would feel bitter about being a half blood whose mother had deserted him. For the years, Kala wished that he had either been born a full blooded Elf or a full blooded Nixie. With time, and a better understanding of the world, that wish went away and Kala was more than happy to just be who he was.

As far as the rest of his childhood goes, it was rather normal. Being the rather likable person, he found himself surrounded by a group of friends. His life stayed that way until he went off to the Academy. As soon as he arrived there, Kala found himself loving nearly everything about the city and the school that floated above it, with the exception of the relatively terrible water supply. He managed to look over that small detail though, and generally speaking enjoy his first two years.
Spells:
-Water Puppeteering: With enough concentration, he wills the water that he’s controlling to take the form of a living animal and then controls it to do the fighting for him.
-Extreme Exaggeration: A combination of Illusion magic and his ability to control aquatic creatures, he uses his limited illusion abilities to make whatever creature he is actually controlling seem as if it is something much larger and more intimidating than what it actually is.
-False Presence: A combination of Illusion techniques and telepathy, he can convince others that he is present and speaking to them when he actually isn’t. This is almost always used as a diversionary technique. It is also rarely ever used, considering it takes extreme amounts of concentration and tends to wear him out.
Strengths:
-Water magic. Where some of the other forms of magic that he can use fall short because of his mixed blood, his sometimes overwhelming ability when it comes to water makes up for it.
-While generally mediocre at best when it comes to most Elvian magic, he does have a decent control over Illusion magic. His use of it is definitely limited though.
Weaknesses:
Get him without water, and he becomes a rather mediocre fighter. To remedy this, Kala almost always carriers some kind of water with him.
Weapons:
-A bow. Its nothing special, but he still carries it around.
-A pair of Elvian daggers that hold a special place in his heart. They were given to his by his father.
Techniques:
-Water encasement: With enough concentration, he can encase the blades of his daggers in water. With enough control and concentration, he can effectively make the blades much sharper than they would have been without the water.
Strengths:
-He’s good enough with a bow to warrant carrying one around with him. He’s far from an expert though, and unless some sort of a miracle occurs, never will be.
Weaknesses:
Without the element of surprise or the aid of magic, he’s relatively bad at hand to hand fighting.
Miscellaneous:
None as of now.

I may or may not add more spells and techniques later on, if I can think of any that is. It was also proving difficult to find a decent picture of what I wanted, so I hope the picture plus the description I added underneath it will do.

And Kala is Accepted. I'm glad we were able to have people spread out the races, kinda wish we had a Dalen in the mix, otherwise I feel we're ready to start, unless people still want more time to finish their character sheets?
