I can honestly say I know exactly how you feel. I haven't roleplayed via something other than an IPod in at least a year. I've gotten used to it by now, but it still takes longer for me to do stuff than it would for other people.
Drives me nuts. Most people have gotten used to it and are quite understanding but it bugs the hell out of me. I'm a writer for crying out loud. Mistakes like the typos that happen with this phone are like a personal affront. lol.

The gems are just a Dalen thing. I think you guys are just going to have to trust that Hell has everything planned out, and that if there was some form of "unobtainium" it would have been explained in the original post. I mean, this is the fifth repost of this RP, so...
Actually, when it comes to an unobtainium (had to look that up) I wasn't exactly focusing on any minerals, but instead things like energy, maybe Rayhs could have something like shards of magic. He could obtain these shards from stores all around, but collecting the shards would be considered a dangerous job, and requires specialists who use protective gear to gather the energy and convert it into any type of crystal for weapon usage. I would mainly go with energy, unless you wanted whatever enhancements to be separate from his personal magical reserves, and instead the crystals were like an enchantment. Like for example, a Fire enhancement on one blade to do extra fire based damage, if that were the case I'd definitely go with the crystals/shards. Does that...answer your question?
Soul gems are a bit different since they only collect energy from souls, not magic.
Well, its good to be back for the day, gonna update the character sheet thread, and get to posting. Things in the plot will advance in a couple of posts so try to get as acquainted as you can with other characters.
