They didn't have specifications, and Fallout 2 is from, shoot, windows 98 time... so that's understandably going to be a pain in the rear to handle.

And I have 64 bit, normally though, you can have 32 bit programs (depending on what it's for precisely) with compatibility modes turned on or w/e.

I bet you won't click this link

Mmm. 64 bit compatibility with 32 bit has always been a bit buggy. If you are having problems as far as backwards compatibility from previous windows operating systems goes, right click on the program and click troubleshoot compatibility.

XP is actually much more stable that way than win7. It was a really, really solidly built Os.

    Yeah. LOL

by most standards it would actually be on-topic.

Meh, I like Windows 7 better. I like the graphics.

I liked it too when I first got my laptop. But tbh being on ubuntu has been a dream. Everything is streamlined and free. It's been such a nice change of pace.

Yeah. I'd use Ubuntu more, but it has problems with my router. Also, for some reason, all releases of Ubuntu have booting problems in one way or the other when they first come out. It's like the programmers keep overlooking it.

Hmm. I've had a few of those errors myself. But I like that it's so fixable and doesn't destroy os stability like any problems I had with windows.

The other issue is compatibility with other programs since I've had trouble with WINE.

Yeah. And getting Java up and running on Linux is a bitch.
