quite, quite excited - I mean, hello

I don't even want to admit how many years and months it has been since I last participated in a decent role play... Nonetheless how long it's been since I've joined a role play site. Well.
My history will role plays goes back to 2003, I was going strong from 2004 to 2010. Then, life happened and I got away from the world of role playing while dealing with some real life traumas. Needless to say, it's been almost two years (closer to three) and I find myself severely, severely missing role playing. I mean, the friends I made with people through the solid six years I had rp'd before... Dang.

Besides that short but not brief history/rant, I'll introduce myself.
I'd like to be known by Vae, but my name is Jessica.
I'm currently working full-time, pursuing a return to the educational world.
    I adore history.
    I adore literature.
I adore movies and films and novels and tea.
    I'm a hidden nerd.

And I'm secretly (not so much a secret now) nervous to be returning to role playing. More so excited.
    Definitely excited.

nice to have an experienced roleplayer. If your nervous, I'd suggest starting in casual as a warm up if you were up to the advanced level previously. Avoid the spam forum if you want to live.

    Welcome to the Guild.

Check out the Guide if you'd like some info about how the site is set up. If you have questions that go unanswered by the Guide, the Ask a Comrade thread is the perfect place to ask them, or you can private message one of the Comrades directly.

Did you know we have a Writer of the Month contest? Come join it.
The WOTM #26 Theme Choice thread is up and voting is open through May 20th.

    Thanks for the welcome!
I'm probably going to be lurking around each forum for a little while, just to figure out where I want to jump in first. I don't even know how to just go about jumping into a thread or creating one. I mean, I know the mechanics of posting and such, but not the whole try to pique other's curiosity and creativity. Bah. It's been too long but I can't resist any longer, as previously stated.

Also, thanks for the warning of where to avoid. Lol, I'd definitely rather keep living. Just a preference, ya know.
I've checked out the Guides but I'll be returning to them tonight, again.

I'm so used to a site where you have a designated character and a set plot, just ready for subplots and additional characters as the need arises. So, this whole Guild idea is a huge change. Huge changed after a few years of absence from role play. Oi, ha ha..
