Why not just resume Stars of Eden? how different will this version be? I may be still interested, but I was kinda disappointed that I barely got any time to develop my faction last time.

_____
The roleplay will combine two main elements; the first being strategy and the second being story.
.
Strategy is you being able to control all aspects of a species/nation of your creation as you try to expand their power, or whatever goals that you may have set for them (limits to this based on godmodding). Most likely there will be hardly any stats, if at all, so this strategy will be logic based. If enough people are willing to, then I can even get judges to help decide on a fair outcome. For example, you say that your fleet makes a surprise attack on someone, but if the opponent objects then the judges and I will decide if that could have happened or not. While I mentioned no stats, your species/nation will still have things that they're good or bad at. For example, your race is really strong but dumb. During combat the fight should reflect this by the enemy outsmarting them, but also getting overpowered if going up against them in brute force. The more detailed your strategies and species/nation, the better. If you don't give detail that your forces have night vision, then you cannot just suddenly spring it on the enemy that they can now see in the dark. However, story wise your opponents wouldn't necessarily know everything about you or else that would be godmodding. This information is mainly for us so you don't randomly start doing stuff that you couldn't be able to.
.
Story will be us giving first hand experiences of characters from your species/nation. To me the story is more important then just doing this roleplay to win.
.
For an example of both strategy and story, in one post you can say that your race is unleashing a surprise attack with one of your fleets, and then in that post have it from a soldier's point of view inside that fleet as the attack commences. You can have a few well developed characters that you follow around this entire roleplay, or for some battles you can take on the point of view of someone as a one time deal, which is useful if you have no important characters nearby or available. If you're not good at strategy then you can focus more on story, and if you're not good at story, I'll let you just post strategy although that isn't preferred.
.
More then one person can team up to control the same species/nation if everyone agrees. For example one person can handle the strategy portion, someone else comes up with the nation ideas, and another does story, although how you handle it is completely up to you.
.
More information is that this will take place in a single galaxy other then the milky way, although there's a worm whole connecting these two places that was used by the Atlanteans. The milky way will not be important in the grand scheme of things in this galaxy, but can be referenced if using human characters. Some alien and the Atlantean civilizations have developed faster then light travel. There can be some super weapons, but make sure that you leave a big weakness. As a whole your nation/species needs to be balanced as well, so no invincible nation steamrolling everything in your path. You can be tougher then a lot of NPC races, but that doesn't give you free reign over everything. The story will take place at a point when some alien species are starting to team up and expand their territories. You must find your place in all of this.
.
Is anyone interested? Any questions?

If we continued from that one there was way to many people who left, so both races and territories would be wasted space. You can keep with your race in this reboot.
Nah, it's been too long, I'll make something new a bit more conventional this time and keep that idea in store for some other time.
You can have more then a planet. For the start I'll put a max on 5 solar systems where you're race can be dominant, unless there is demand from you guys to start out with more. You don't have to be the dominant race, however. For example, you can get creative and even by some slave race, or some small species that is trampled underfoot by another race. That would make it harder for your space exploration, of course, but you get the idea.
As long as you balance things out somehow then you can have some pretty high tech and awesome weaponry. If these rays of terror are too powerful, it may be too hard to create a healthy balance without becoming overpowered. The destruction of another species/nation can occur, especially for weak NPC races. Powerful races can also be destroyed if it would occur realistically.

Some NPC's may have some overpowered stuff, but we can team up against them at some point.
