Race Name- Kenris
Population- 18 billion
Habitat- they thrive in any temporature. as they tend to
(makes up 93% of the Kenris, they are the working class, the scientists and builders of the Kenris. a few of them work as Pilots.)
(in an attempt to create a more warrior like Kenris, these were developed using Levinti DNA, they have Outer-shells that are strong enough to withstand small-arms fire, can run at roughly 40MPH and can jump almost 10 foot in the air, from running. they make up 6% of the Kenris population, they are the Police of the Empire and the Kenris' Commando's in the army. with roughly 80% of them being Police.)
(These are built for one purpose and one purpose only, protect the Queen, they are 12 foot tall, armor-plated Killing machines with no sense of mercy. If the queen feels threatened, they will not hesitate to rip any intruder limb from limb, they cannot be bartered or reasoned with, the only way to escape, flush yourself out of an airlock, at least you'll get a nice view before your blood boils and head explodes... trust me, some of the stories that are circulating make it sound like that is the preferred way to go. only about 150 of these exist at a time, and patrol the hive-ships, as well as the Royal palace.)
the Kenris have 2 kinds of females
(the only Females are the Queens, like most Insectoid races the Females are really only for Breeding. at the beginning of the Empire, the Queens all looked like giant ant-queens, however, it was the Kenris' wish to look more Humanoid to be more accepted in the Empire, as such, the Skillian Emperoress Theadora II gave a part of her DNA to be used to breed the next Kenris Queen and she came out looking a lot more Humanoid. she represents the Kenris interests in Parliament.)
(Though the main queen looks more humanoid, they still needed a queen to lay the eggs for the Kenris. only about 5 of these exist. each, aboard a Hive-ship.)
Physiology- each different kind of Kenris has a different Physiology, see Appearance for a full description. they all share a Hive-Mind, so all of them know what every other one is thinking.
Personality- The Kenris Workers all tend to be submissive towards other beings in the empire. the Warriors are more tactical creatures, tending only to speak when spoken to, very focused on getting their job done and the Praetorians... they kill things they don't like... that's about it. the Queens speak and act like most individuals and the Hatcher Queens tend to not speak to anyone.
Lifespan/Birth/Aging- the queen lays an egg every 5 seconds and each of the Kenris Males lives for about 5 years, except for the Praetorians... they don't seem to die... ever... whereas the females have a lifespan of about 10 years.
Language- Kenrisian (their voice-boxes aren't able to make the sounds necessary to talk in any recognized form of language, so they each have special machines fitted around their necks, that translate the clicking sounds of their language into english, or any other kind of language that they wish.)
Culture- they are a hive minded species, so they are a minimalist culture, building only what they need
Hive Minded (they know everything that every single other Kenris knows and tend to act based on that knowledge. the Hatcher Queens act as central hubs, directing the flow of mental traffic faster than any computer could possibly fathom. which is why they don't tend to speak.)
Disadvantage Traits- Divided they fall (Kenris Males cannot think for themselves. they require their queen to tell them everything. if their telepathic contact with the queen is severed, then they will just sit there and do nothing, they will not even eat or drink, they just wait until death takes them.)
