Mia was tired to say the least as she stood in front of the academic office, waiting to meet up with some of her new squad mates. She recently left her old platoon, about 6 months ago, right after the battle with the last city. Due to some differences between her and the remainder of the platoon, she decided it would be best for her to leave the team. Now she was picked by the new 21st platoon as their sniper, which she gladly accepted. She loved sniping and being able to meet some fresh faces as as senior would be nice. However she was really hoping that her new team would be more relaxed and easy going than her previous team. While not as good as the 10th platoon, they were very close behind them so they had the same high standards and ruthless practices, which did nothing more than anger her in reality. That, and it made her already frail being that much worse.
She sat herself down and after a few minutes of waiting, she was about to fall asleep when a familiar, unwelcoming face appeared. It was her old platoon leader, Vael Rasil. He was a swordsman for the 14th platoon, and he was a bastard. The two of them used to be friends, but that's bee different for a long time. He scoffed when he saw Mia getting ready to fall asleep and said "Of course you'd be falling asleep here. You're just the same as ever Sloth, sleeping all the time and not doing a single damned thing." He was hoping to get a rise out of Mia, but all it did was make her ignore him and actually snore a little bit. This angered Vael more and he yelled "Got damn it Mia! Listen when you're superior is talking to you, you useless piece of trash!"
This caught Mia's attention as she gave a loud yawn and stood up. Vael was decently tall, standing at about 5'8", but Mia matched his height and got in his face, staring straight into his eyes. Her eyes revealed a cold, almost beastly stare as Vael backed away. She couldn't help but chuckle and said "That's just like you Vael. As soon as someone's ready to actually say something back to you, you decide to back off. You call me trash and yet you can barely handle one person what a terrible leader you are." This angered Vael, but he kept his cool and chuckled, saying "If something a person said that to me, Id be angry, but coming from a Sloth like you, I find it rather amusing to hear."
Mia still kept her composure and said "Well, calling me an animal is quite funny. I've seen you jumping around the trees first hand when in combat. Hell, if I'm a sloth, your definitely a monkey, and those things handle their own feces. A lot like you do actually." There was a crowd starting to gather around them now, and at the rate this was going, it was definitely gonna be a fight at least. Vael was losing his composure and it was obvious. He roared at Mia "At least I didn't shoot my own teammate in the back during the last city fight!" Mia sighed and said with an evil grin "It's not my fault that the monkey got in my way when I needed to take the shot. Quite sad, you tell me to fire and then almost jeopardize the whole attack because you got in my way."
