I certainly wasn't trying to imply Battlefield 3 is anything but a great game, my point was that the games that follow the trend of modern military shooters tend to have pretty arcadey characteristics.

But yeah, this is kind of veering away from the purpose of this thread.

Priority: Rannoch because that reaper kept kicking my ass and Earth towards the end. I don't think anything else frustrated me as much as those two things.

Of course, any geth mission becomes incredibly easy with Sabotage.

Crafted by Lillian Thorne, after some aggressive pestering.

With Rannoch, you just have to hold your ground and aim for as long as you can and dodge as soon as it fires. Even on insane, you have lots of time as long as you keep on target for as long as possible. I had a hell of a time with it until I figured it out. Now it doesn't feel nearly as awful... or climatic. :/

Yeah I figured that out after I died the 5th time, when I replayed it...it was not nearly as awful. I just really hate geth missions in general with a passion. It's not that they are difficult, I just find them tedious.

Also, I quite enjoy all 3 games.

Back to missions in game, Haestrom was never bad for me as an Infiltrator. AI hack is your best friend there and going up the right platform was how I always went. Having the geth shield boost on NG plus makes things much, much more manageable. For collector base, having Jack and a maxed out squad warp ammo makes things muuuuuch less horrible. It was just the platform bit that I found hair pullingly terrible.
They might be the publisher, but EA didn't develop it
Many thanks to the talented Lillian Thorne for the Signature

They influenced the game design and had to have approval for development. It's why 2 and 3 are quite a departure from the first game.

Gah, Mass effect, I can't tell if it's one of my more favourite series of games or not. I absolutely adore ME2 and really enjoyed the crew building plot bringing in both old blood and new and found the character development really intriguing. Tali'Zorah being my favourite character from the whole series of games being closely followed by Garrus/Legion most likely as they seem to always compose most of my teams for missions :P
In terms of difficult missions i'd say that there were some parts in ME1 that were difficult for me but perhaps more for the reason that the combat mechanics were not necessarily the most friendly of systems. I'd agree with other people with the ambush on the floating platforms in ME2 or pretty much any fight with Scions ;_; ME3 only really forced me to sit foward on my chair and concentrate super hard during the mission on Rannoch when using the guidance laser to bombard the Reaper.
