    Civilization Roleplay- "Gods of Men"

RP NOW IN PROGRES. You may still join. In fact, its quite easy to do so in the genre without missing much, even after several full threads.

Hello. I'm Embluss, one of the co-owners of "Gods of Men". It follows the conventional civilization roleplay formula (well, at least what it was where we come from). Players are nations, rather than characters. They don't exactly roleplay as these nations; most stuff is done through one of many characters within your nation, who will be developed to some extent.

This one happens to have magic, which is explained in-depth on the IC Thread.

Tech level is stone age. The world is not earth, unlike a lot of the Civ RP's I've seen since I came here, but rather a fictionalized universe.

Seems to be about it. Feel free to ask any questions here or on the OOC thread, http://roleplayerguild.com/showthrea...and-Bio-Thread

Thread itself can be found at http://roleplayerguild.com/showthrea...ation-RP-Magic

Looks interesting but I'm new to nation/civilisation RPs. How exactly do they work?

The simplest way to explain it is "you play as your nation" but that's not exactly correct. Its more along the lines of "you play as an unlimited number of player characters (PCs) within your nation (king, generals, ambassadors, entrepreneurs, scientists, or whatever else you'd like), and sometimes describe the actions of NPCs within your nation (townspeople, soldiers, guards, etc)". The purpose is to make your nation either A) the best or B) what you'd like it to be (cool, unique, special, whatever) through war, tech development, diplomacy, trade, exploration, and other fronts.

I'd say its very good if you're slightly ADD at roleplaying. You can have a bunch of characters doing different things with various other people in the RP at the same time.

I probably missed something, but I think that covers the bases.

Sorry for the delayed response; I subscribed and thought it'd go to my notifications. Still new to this forum... :@. If you're still interested, we'll take you.
