Gwen nodded when he said he could show her. “Even better,” she smiled. When he stepped back though, she took a few steps away as well, not sure what he was about to do. When bones popped out from his arm, Gwen let out a little yelp and jumped slightly, not sure if this was completely morbid or completely cool. She slowly walked closer, looking at him skeptically as he explained his power. “That… is bizarre. But still cool,” she smirked, deciding how she felt about it. She wanted to reach out and touch the four bones to see if they were legit, but she shrugged it off, assuming they were. What else would be popping out of his arm, anyway?

“Oh, my power?” Gwen said, her smirk falling slightly. She was nervous about showing anyone her power, so she took the few steps back again and lifted her hands in front of her as if she were about to deliver something. She concentrated, her skin glowing bronze and her eyes a little milky looking as small bolts of lightning began sparkling in her palms. They never got more than a foot long, but Gwen winced, stopping the lightning before revealing her levitating powers. Many times the lightning in her hands would hit her wrists and palms, causing it to be a very painful gift. “I can generate this… electricity,” she shrugged, her palms still smoking and a few new scars appearing. “I can levitate too, but I’m not so good at it,” she said, her cheeks a little pink as if embarrassed.

Arria walked down the steps and headed outside. Some fresh air is definitely what she needed right now. She opened the doors to the dorm and let the breeze pushed her hair back. She smiled and walked across the school grounds. Looking around at the benches and trees surrounding the area. the sun reflected off her paled skin and blue hair nicely as she stepped out of the shade of the building and ran across the grass a bit. She then flopped on the ground, taking the scent from the grass in. If she could laugh right now, she would be. Instead her body just moved as though she were.

Barbados was walking around still trying to find something interesting. He then spotted a beauty further down the way. Barbados with some speed in his step figured it would be proper for him to introduce himself. Walking over to her he noticed an eraser board. "Excuse me miss have we met? The names Barbados Splott!" He then stuck his hand out so she can shake it.

Zane was confused upon her taking more steps back. Then when she showed him her ability to harness electricity he was actually quite shocked. He never used technology, let alone think someone could harness the element of lightning. Though his shocked face was broken by a smile. "That was really impressive. I wasn't expecting that sparky." He wondered if the nickname would be considered offensive. But he thought it suited her well. So he was sticking to it.

Barbados was walking around still trying to find something interesting. He then spotted a beauty further down the way. Barbados with some speed in his step figured it would be proper for him to introduce himself. Walking over to her he noticed an eraser board. "Excuse me miss have we met? The names Barbados Splott!" He then stuck his hand out so she can shake it.

Upon hearing another's voice, Arria rolled over and and grabbed her eraser board protectively while sitting up. This was out of reflex, as many times before in school kids would break it to tease her. She shyly looked up at the boy in front of her. her blue eyes looking a bit scared as he spoke more and held out his. She gingerly removed one hand from the eraser board and shook his. Then quickly took it back and began nervously scribbling something on the white board.

She held it up for him to see. Her handwriting was VERY neat.

Upon hearing another's voice, Arria rolled over and and grabbed her eraser board protectively while sitting up. This was out of reflex, as many times before in school kids would break it to tease her. She shyly looked up at the boy in front of her. her blue eyes looking a bit scared as he spoke more and held out his. She gingerly removed one hand from the eraser board and shook his. Then quickly took it back and began nervously scribbling something on the white board.

Barbados tilted his head at first due to this girls bizarre actions. "So are you really that shy? You won't let me hear your voice?"

At first Gwen was worried by his shocked expression, but when he smiled, a smile broke out on her face as well. ‘Maybe I will be accepted here…’ she thought, feeling a little giddy when he said her power was impressive. And here her parents thought she was some sort of freak. She was about to reach out and hug him when he called her Sparky. Her smile fell, and a look of irritation spread across her face. “Um… my name isn’t Sparky. My brother would sometimes call me Sparks, but that’s it… I’m not some dog or something, so don’t call me that,” she said with a ‘hmph’. She didn’t want to make any enemies, but she was NOT going to be called SPARKY.

A look of sadness soon turned to a light frustration on her face. Her pale fingers reached to her throat and she touched it gently. She then looked at him, opened her mouth, and pointed inside her mouth while shaking her head. She then erased her name off the whiteboard and began to write again.

Even as she wrote this her cheeks flushed pink. She then raised the bored to him again, hoping he wouldn't laugh or think she was ridiculous.

So I feel really bad now because I can just imagine your voice being bold and angelic as well as your laugh being cute. So then tell me er rather write something about yourself. First maybe tell me where this crazy place is and how you yourself ended up here."

He scratched the bck of his head again but this time using one of the bones sticking out of his right forearm. "I didn't mean to offend you...." His gaze drifted to the ground. Though he wondered how pissed she would get if he called her it again. "So calling you sparks is what you prefer?" He really liked sparky better though.

Gwen watched the boy’s demeanor change back into a shy one after she had snapped at him for his nickname for her. She tilted her head slightly and finally sighed. She didn’t want to make him unhappy… the first person she had met here. “Fine… you can call me Sparky if it’s not an insult… but only you can call me that,” she mumbled, admitting defeat, but hoping that he would be happier if she allowed him the privilege of calling her…. *gulp* Sparky… “If it’s all the same to you, I’ll just call you Zane,” she said, smiling to lighten the mood that she had managed to ruin.
