Thinking Outside of the Tank (Fallout RP interest check)

So, not much it known about the Think Tank as they were before their brains were mounted in the robot bodies after the great war. We know their code names and their jobs, we know that Klein was in charge and that Borous hated RICHIE MARCUS and BETSY BRIGHT. But we don't really know the people behind the tanks.

Would anyone be interested in an RP about the think tank, set before the war and leading up to them being placed in their tanks, lobotomizing everone they see and blowing the top off BIG MOUNTAIN?

While I think this is an interesting Idea, the fact of doing it before the War as actual Big Mountain employers and populaters would be difficult. The story of Big Mountain in the Fallout Universe is written the way it is for a reason, and it would defeat a part of the "Fallout Universe's" character to do a Fallout Rp before the Great War. Now if Perhaps you wanted to do one about Big Mountain and Post-War scientist or scavengers digging deeper into the knowledge banks of the Think Tank that would be interesting.

Well I only intend for it to start before the Great War, there will still be plenty to happen after the bombs drop. I understand why the writers made Old World Blues the way they did, but in doing so I feel it left quite a lot untold. I think it could be fun to work up to the great war for a change, rather than jump in after just like every other Fallout RP on here. I disagree that it would take away from the character though, part of what makes Fallout what it is is how the world was before the Great War, with the annexation of Canada, human rights violations, the vaults being designed to fail. I want to RP in that world first, then move on to the post-nuclear world we all love.

Ok, for one the vaults didn't have people in them until the very day of the Great War. The annexation of Canada was simple and no major story points follow it, and as for Big Mountain I think many people would hate having all their characers die.

And who are you to decide what people will and will not like? If the man/woman wants to make a roleplay before the great war, he/she has the right to do so on here. I for one am interested, and I'll be keeping my eye on this :3

Not entirely true. Many people died as a result of ignoring the warning sirens on the day the bombs actually fell, because they had been used in drills and people had entered the vaults so many times that people just figured the war still wasn't happening. I feel that the annexation of Canada is a fairly major plot point in itself. And finally, I'm inviting people to RP as the pre-war think tank, none of whom die in the war, or in fact after the war.

Thank you caster, glad to see someone is interested in this. Hopefully it'll make it to IC stage and you'll join in
