Also, what brand of Oil paint do you use? I've been looking into trying oil as a medium when i finish using my Acrlyics (which won't be for a while, since i'm using my student grade acrylics right now, and i have a box of artist grade i havnt even touched.) But i've been looking into either M Graham , Michael Harding, or Williamsburg handmade.

If you don't already know, it's possible to use different things like burnt plate oils or other ingredients to thin or thicken your paints. A wonderfully talented oil painter with whom I've had the honour to study alongside does exactly that when working with her acrylics so that the drying time mimics oil. It also helps acrylic perform more like oil, but without the hefty price. Check it out. The internet has some fantastic information regarding all that.

About your work, it's lovely. You're abilities seem like they're really shaping out. This might just be me, but I don't see any reason for you to censor your figures. I would love to see you create looser, simpler human forms following your perception of them over the reality. Does that make sense? I wonder if how you depict them is as you see them, if that's what feels right to you. An example of what I'm talking about would be the expressionists and their takes on the body and reality. This isn't a critique. It's more of a challenge for shaping your work as you go. It's a wonderful exercise I've been introduced to and found extremely useful.

I agree with Harris, you should not need to censor your work. If people can't be mature enough, it's their problem, not yours. There is a difference between nude and naked, most don't understand.

I think the issue lies in the fact that depicting those sorts of things sort of infringes on Guild rules. Really it depends on how detailed those parts are, for lack of a better term, but still; I'd hate to see someone report him for showing off his artwork.

Technically speaking it shouldn't get him into any trouble; considering the rules on content regulation are specifically about interaction or spam of sexual nature. Don't take my word for it, though, it would be better to PM this question to the staff.

I'll have to look into the burnt plate oil. For the most part, however, i like the fast drying time of acrylics. Sometimes it's hard to blend the colors, because i have to work fast, but for the most part i like painting in a lot of 'layers', which acrylic is perfect for. Right now everything is on hold, since i've run out of paint. So i have to wait till Christmas until i can work on my projects again. Also, thanks for the support

I feel the same as you, but all it take is one immature person to come in here, look around, and complain. RPG seems to me to be home to a wide variety of age ranges, so í wanted to avoid any possible trouble.

Man, 4 weeks since an update, and i have finished a single peace since then. . For whatever reason, i've gotten a super bad case of "do anything else but paint / draw". Going to upload random crap, since i feel bad it's been 4 weeks.

My doodles go the craziest places...

Honestly, i've doing doing a portrait a day. I just havn't finished any of them... lol. Here's a prime example of a portrait with no head, defeating the purpose of a portrait. lol.

Gah! I NEEED to finish this peice, it has been on my easel entirley too long (5-6 Weeks). Just thinking about that makes me feel bad...
