    Preferred Play
    • Small Groups 2 - 5 + GM/Mod
    • Post Size 2-6 Paragraphs
    • Cool Headed People
    • Reasonable GM/Mod
    • Quick Poster - but well thought out
    • High-end Casual & Advanced
    • Mix character development/revelations while advancing the story

    Preferred Category

Freeplay: I'm new here and from what I've seen and read, the content of what is in Freeplay or the basic level is what I avoid. I enjoy RPing with folks who are at least somewhat grounded in reality.

Casual: I would be willing to participate in Casual RPs as long as there is a level headed GM/Moderator guiding the story in one direction. If the storyline is permitted to flow erratically or in ridiculous directions, I'll lose interest.

Advanced: I prefer this level and expect the authors contributing material to maintain similar high standards in regards to spelling, grammar, character development, story progression and content.

I search the ICs for RPs that interest me. You can invite me if you wish, but I'll be looking on my own.

    Preferred Genres

Fantasy Adventure: I played D&D when I was in High School and still enjoy a D&D type adventure once in awhile.

Midievel: I am a history buff and love to get into this type of adventures.

Sci-Fi: I am more than willing to venture into Sci Fi, but the GM/Moderator creating the backstory must be prepared to fill in a ton of back story to make a good Sci-Fi. A lack of back story merely opens up avenues for authors to contribute things that weren't planned by the GM/Mod. In detailing the back story, this should include things that will not happen in the RP.

Modern: I would be more than willing to get involved in a modern day RP regardless of the topic.

Murder/Mystery: If a GM/Mod could put together a decent murder mystery, I would be willing to participate as an investigator, suspect, police officer, witness or the killer. A good old fashion CLUE Whodunit!

Supernatural: I could get into wolves/vampires and Zombie Apocalyptic scenarios.

Post Apocalypse: I'm into it, but like a good Sci-Fi, the back story should be well thought out by the GM/Mod

Comedy: If I were in an RP with individuals who had a quick wit and could create humorous dialogue, this would be a blast.

Military History: This is my favorite genre, but I have a problem working with people who have no clue what they are talking about. It is because this is one genre I have the most knowledge about. I would love to do force on force RPs rather than a group of individuals all working in the same squad. My experience is that does not work. RPers are individuals with vivid imaginations. Soldiers are disciplined automatons who DO what they are trained and rarely think outside the box. If an RPer wanted to RP as a Platoon Leader in control of 30 to 40 soldiers, I would be more than willing to get involved with this.

    Least Preferred Genres

Romance: Not fully against it but it gets stale for me quickly. I'm marred and love my wife. I don't need pretend romances

High-School: "IF" I were to join a HS RP, it would be as a School Teacher, administrator, coach or janitorial service worker.

Anime: Not my lane, brother. This would include any variation on that theme.

    Extra information

*I am fairly active and will post rather quickly. Sometimes I get impatient waiting for others to post, but I keep that to myself. You'll never know about it unless you ask.

*I'll join almost anything provided the initial OOC/IntChk interests me.

*I'll be the last one to quit an RP thread. If and when I do, I will have communicated with the GM/Mod over why the thread has grown stagnant.

*I prefer to use proper quotations and dialogue structure that you would find in a novel. If you prefer to write as though you were writing a Play, leave me alone. I don't care to see it.

Preferred Category [Beg, Cas, Adv, etc]: Casual, because I haven't role played in awhile. I need to get back into the groove of things before I'll consider myself advanced. Its been awhile since I got good, long posts so I'm sure my skill level has decreased.

"Mainly advanced because I can put out lengthy posts and I like getting that in return. Sometimes casual for stories I'd like to do a 'test run' on to basically debunk any plans I had for the original piece before trying it in the advanced thread sections." <--- I'd like to reserve that statement for a later time because casual and advanced here are actually more defined than at my old site. What's considered 'advanced' here is what I used to do until my old site died off and I resorted to casual. I realize that I ended up doing those a lot.

Preferred Genres: Fantasy. Romance. Thats about all I do, haha. I am willing to get into Sci-Fi, steampunk, or futuristic threads so long as all the rules are initially ironed out. That way I don't goof up since I don't know the genre very well.
School is fine with me, although I find that it usually dies out fast unless there's magic involved or something.
I will sometimes join threads based off an anime using characters from the series or non-anime related series, however I prefer to use my own original characters.
Usually all my character pics are of anime people since I'm just... used to it.

Preferred type of play [OnexOne, etc]: OnexOne mostly. Group rps are fine as long as there is a set order. If someone is absent for a few days or we need to move the thread along that's fine, but I'd prefer an order of posting so we don't all crash in at once.

Extra information: I seldom use male characters (honestly I think I make them too wimpy or emotional, I am a girl after all) but when I do its always to give my character background. A lot of times my stories involve siblings or family members, I've come to the conclusion that it's my own self conscious mind portraying my family life in my stories... heh. When I do have multiple characters though it's to give depth to the background or life of my main character. What I usually call my 'extras'.
I had roleplayed for about seven to eight years before taking a break recently and when I came back, my old site practically died. I had been with them for at least five or six years, so that was very sad. I was referred here by a good rper and friend so here I am

When roleplaying what I give is what I get and vice versa. If I get a good, lengthy post with details and not just a million things going through a character's head with little interaction, then I absolutely do my best in return; writing down every thought and action as if everything is happening in real time. I understand when blocks happen, I get them all the time, and I will try to maintain reasonable posts to encourage the story along but eventually I run out of steam too. If the same happens and I suddenly start lacking in depth I try to remember to apologize and hope that my fellow rper understands.

PMs are usually the best way to contact me so please do so if interested. I try to create good starting threads but they're usually not my best; if anything, I take a long time to write them to do the best I can. I am always open to ideas and please feel free to add a link via PM if you want me to join a thread.

    Thanks and salutations!

Preferred Category: Mid casual and above

Preferred Genres: Currently looking for a down to earth nation RP. No angel demons, no super warriors, etc. Outside of that I'm down for almost anything.

Preferred type of play: Anything but one on one.

Extra information: I tend to be more comedic in my writing, as I sometimes have a hard time being serious in anything at all. Though I can if the need truly arises. I can be very picky when it comes to rp.

    Preferred Category Cas-Adv

Preferred Genres: Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Modern Fantasy, Medieval Fantasy, Action, Adventure, Thriller, Psychological, Romantic, Nation, Peaceful, Slice-of-Life, more.

Preferred type of play: Depends on the circumstances; 1x1 - large group.

Extra information: I can do a lot of things, but the Hot'n'Sweaty between characters is something I don't like to do.

    Preferred Category: Casual/Advanced

Preferred Genres: Fantasy, Sci-fi (especialy things like Phantasy Star, Halo, ect.), pretty much anything.

Preferred type of play: OnexOne, group, pm, doesn't matter as long as it's fun.

Extra information: I see no point in the RP if you can't have a little fun with it, so nine times out of ten I'm going to be that goofy character that makes things less serious. I know there are times where things do need to be serious, but the story just gets boring if it's all serious all the time.

Preferred Category [Beg, Cas, Adv, etc]: Advanced. I can do Casual, but I prefer decent sized post and meaningful story developement. It feels 'empty' to have a one paragraph post.

Preferred Genres: Fantasy (Oh heck yes!)- I love most fantasy themed RP's with a medieval feel to them. I grew up with things like Secret of Mana, Final Fantasy, Tales series, ect. Feel right at home with them.

Naruto/Bleach/OnePiece- All Manga I keep up with, and tend to make decent Rp's. As long as it's non-cannon, why not? They are all fantasy worlds with a set rules of engagement, we know the mechanics behind them, they all display different goals ect.

Fight Focused- Eh, who doesn't love a good brawl? It's an excellent way to highlight the 'resolve' of a character.

Social Outcasts- Groups who have something to prove to the world are interesting.

'Flexible' Story- I love it when everyone in the Rp can feel they have impact on the story, makes my character feel slightly more important. I don't mean to say I don't like Rp's without a firm direction, but I rather like a story where you can get from point A to B in many different ways.

    Avoided Genres:

Apacolyptic- I always look twice at these. Being the last survivor doesn't exactly fit my cup of tea. I just don't like seeing the world destroyed.

Slice a life- It's kinda boring to Rp as something you do everyday. This extends into categories like Highschool and Romance.

'Cannon' based Rp's- Taking existing characters from existing series and screwing them up in a different timeline doesn't sit well at all with me. Cannon Characters are someone else's creation. It's unimaginitive to play them, and using them will almost always end badly from what I've seen, so I just prefer to stay out of these.

Preferred type of play [OnexOne, etc]: Standard multiplayer Rp's. I'll do arena as well.

    Extra information:

I'm great at organizing systems and such, like putting up a character sheet, or rule's ect. Need a hand there, I'd help in a jiffy. I'm a little informal, but hey, here to enjoy myself.

    Preferred Category:
    tldr: Casual to Advanced
With casual roleplay, I tend to stick to 1-2 paragraphs, though I can go up to 3 or 4 if the situation calls for it. I casual roleplay when I'm feeling too lazy to get into somewhat of a short novel(which I normally love doing). I still tend to keep my vocabulary usage rather advanced, though I do tend to keep it to a certain low for people that don't like reading "preposterously extended quotas of dilation".

Advanced: This is my preferred method of roleplay, with several paragraphs of detail and character development in situations. I usually expect people that roleplay with me in this category to be... well, what it says: "advanced". These are usually the people I respect and trust to contribute riveting points to the storyline just as much as I or any other would.

    Preferred Genres:
tldr: Anything from Fantasy to Sci-fi
When it comes to my taste in genre, I love nothing more than a good medieval fantasy roleplay. That means Elves, Dwarves, Dragons, and other mythical/mystical creatures within the world. To get an idea of what I mean, I'm mean as it is in Eragon, Lord of the Rings, World of Warcraft(yeah, that's right; I said it), and many variants of the like.

Though Fantasy is my favorite, I do love to roleplay in pretty much any well thought out story or setting. I do tend to lean away from realistic fiction, and it's more than just extremely rare to see me play something like it.

    Preferred type of play:
Like I said in my intro post, I have almost always done One on Ones with all my roleplays, though I am actively looking to change that and to get into more group roleplays with advanced players. I've always found that it's difficult to find enough advanced players with the same style, preference, and interest for the same roleplay.

    Extra information:
If you've got questions, feel free to PM me or add me on skype: "Ryanbleach"(made the name when I was younger; bite me.)
Everyone can see the future. However, their minds are blocked by the fact that they only want to see that everything turns out alright.

    Characters for hire!

    Preferred Category: Advanced (Maybe casual...)

Preferred Genres: Medieval/Medieval-Fantasy (Flexible in all genres)

Preferred type of play: I prefer the speed of 1x1. That is my first choice. But it has been...a year or more since I've had an actual group RP and am also open for that as well as long as the story's promising to move. I've had far too many bad experiences with group RPs simply fading away into nothingness. There for that's why I stick to 1x1. It has a greater chance of living, from past experiences.

Extra information: I always play female characters, though I often play NPC males but never as a main character. I have the ability, creativity and know how to produce visual maps and various illustration (most like notes, excerpts from books...paper related items) props to insert into the role play posts to enhance the story, mood and authentic feel for the story.

I have been Role Playing for about four years, five this coming January. I prefer to have a role play partner that is able to produce a lot of content, which in respect gives me content to reply to and develop even more for them. The content should be well written, creative, exciting and engaging. I don't want to be bored or reading fluff, unless its that necessary fluff!

I do not do fandoms. I can't really being to think of doing them because that contents been created already and it is its own. I prefer creating things from scratch or inspired from pre-existing works. I just cannot really enjoy writing about something someone else already invented. The only fandom's I've accepted, which never went far, were pokemon related. Though the story and world were several levels above your innocent, bloodless pokemon setting--which is why I accepted.

As a writer I have a kind of creed I hold myself and my partners to whenever I first take them or they take me....I don't hold back at all. I'm comfortable and promote R to NC17 rated content. I'm not bothered by sex, gore, blood, violence, cursing, torture, nudity....and so forth. I just want my partner(s) to be honestly creative and write whatever it is you are inspired and driven to write. Express your characters emotions, interests, dislikes, inspiration, lusts, needs...everything. Don't hold back! But do be reasonable and logical, of course. I'm not offended by any of the above and welcome it. After all, how beautiful is reality...really? It's just as ugly as a piece of ourselves. EXPRESS your CHARACTER'S feelings, needs, emotions, thoughts, actions as THEY feel, see, hear, need them to be written and displayed. I mean, it is THEIR story right? =P So don't be embarrassed, squeamish or shy. I'm ready to be a widely expressive writer with as much excitement as possible.

Make me excited and I'll make you addicted ;D

    Preferred Category: Casual to Advanced

I will always post at least 2 paragraphs (at the very least) unless I have nothing to work with. I don't mind players who post small paragraphs hence why I listed it that way.

    Preferred Genres:

Fantasy & Science Fiction: The appeal of using your imagination to create an entire world that has no basis on reality is appealing. I love these genres.

Adventure: Who doesn't like a good old fashioned adventure? Whether its saving the princess from a dragon or saving the galaxy from evil robots, adventure is everywhere.

    Slice of Life
: But this is also one of my favorite genres because its grounding. It has you, moreso than the other genres, take the life of this character. I find myself more emotional when I play this genre than the others.

Romance: Paired nicely with something above, romance can quickly become my favorite genre. I love reading about it (exception: sparkly vampires), I love watching it (exception: sparkly vampires) and I love roleplaying it.

    Preferred type of play:
    1x1

I prefer 1 on 1 because I find RP groups rely to much on others to get the story moving. 1 on 1 is much faster paced, you do not have to wait a fortnight to post again and you learn so much about the person your playing with because you two are connecting in ways thats not possible in groups.

    Extra information:

I will roleplay any type of character, male or female. I have more of an affinity towards the males because, well, I've been one for 23 years but I like playing a woman because it allows the player to experience things he may never have had. I generally do not play archetype characters such as the beefy strong knight protector, the halfling thief, or the military raised spacer destined for awesome-ness. I like my characters to have feeling and emotion which make them look a bit weak to some.

I would definitely describe my goals in RPing to be twofold: it needs a good story (or it needs to move into a good story) (I'm not opposed to winging it from the begining) and it needs character development. It doesn't matter what that character development is but a stale character is a boring character.

Hidden Question Number 6 - What is the best way to contact you: Any way you so choose to do so. I have my PMs giving me direct emails and I am always connected to my email through someway or another. IMs that I have listed on my profile work just as well.
This one has exceeded its tolerance regarding these female-proginator-copulating thresher maws on this female-proginator-copulating stratospheric spacecraft.

This one has come to kick butt and consume nourishing planktonoids... and this one's supply of planktonoids is utterly depleted.
