I suppose I should answer this thread. I will try to be concise and polite.

Preferred Category [Beg, Cas, Adv, etc]: Advanced seems to fit my interests best. I find I have to do my best, just to keep up. There are so many talented writers that I feel compelled to avoid being lazy about my posts. This is a good thing. I will do Casual on request, or if my interest is high in the thread, but not commonly.

Preferred Genres: In order of priority, Science Fiction/Futuristic, Cyberpunk, Original Superhero/Mutant*, Medieval Fantasy.
*: I do not normally enjoy fandom. Again, I will do it if it looks interesting, but original characters are far more enjoyable for me.

Preferred type of play [OnexOne, etc]: I enjoy group roleplays because of the inherent requirement of more than just two characters per story. However, this can also be achieved in 1x1 if both players are willing to support multiple characters or NPCs. Shared GMing of a 1x1 is a beautiful thing to behold and, though I have only seen it once, it is something I strive for.

One additional note on preferred type: I do not PvP. If the story calls for combat against another player character, I will play that out. I will work closely with the other player, even in collaborative posts if necessary, to resolve the combat fairly. It is not a focus of my efforts in roleplaying to hunt down and terminate other characters. I find it in especially poor taste. Frankly, I find it childish. If the story requires a fight, so be it, but I don't PK and I don't expect it from others either. Please don't request an interaction if this is your focus.

Extra information: The basic etiquette and respect of roleplaying is an absolute requirement for me. I have yet to see any bad behavior on this site as yet, but the fastest way to kill my interest is with a player who forces hit or reactions, ignores plot elements or basic rules of the roleplay, or basically behaves in poor taste. I always try to respect the creator's vision and work my ideas into the storyline in such a way as to avoid disrupting plot; I expect the same respect from others. I try to conduct myself with respect and courtesy; again, I expect this from others. We are all here to help write a story together. That, and not personal gain, should be the focus of our presence here.

With all that out of the way, I promise you I'm really a very nice guy. I'm not here to rock the boat. This is my escape from drama and stress. I roleplay as a means to express my creative side, so it's not about getting one over on anyone else. If you want to know more, I encourage you to drop me a line via PM and have a conversation. I like a lot of things, so it's likely we'll find at least one item of interest to talk about.

Oh, and one last thing: I hate to be blunt, but roleplaying is not a dating service. Romance can be part of it, but cannot be all of it. I commonly fade to black and timeskip past romantic scenes unless explicitly requested otherwise (and if the rules of the area in which we are roleplaying will allow for it). I do not roleplay my own preferences or polarity at all times, so don't expect me to be much like my characters. In short, this is about the story, not about hooking up. I'm sorry if that comes across as offensive. If it does, then we should probably not interact.
