Extra information: I prefer not to play as vampiric characters, but if the idea grabs me I can do it just as well as I can play any other character. I absolutely do not do what just equates as cyber-sex even in PM. Tasteful love scenes are alright, though.
I enjoy plots that have a hefty dose of story and character development, and I think that that is the biggest part of roleplay. There needs to be a struggle for there to be a story.

Extra information: Tend to stray away from RPs that involve copious amounts of combat, simply because I find that when two peoples' characters end up locked in a conflict then nine times out of ten at least one of the players is going to be unhappy with the outcome. Also I find that RPs with copious amounts of combat attract those RPers with.. well, the short attention spans that result in a story-driven RP turning into a massive game of 'Who am I going to beat up next!?'.

Reason? I like a good depth post, but I don't want to scare new roleplays away with Grammer Nautsi's and 5 Paragraph posts. Casual gives the player comfortability and such
I can do most anything... Futuristic of any kind, Science Fiction, Medieval Times, School, Comedy, "Just for Funz," I haven't met a roleplay I can't be compatible with, it's just whether I want to join or not.
I know I might seem like a big rusher kind of guy, but actually I have simplicity.

I do tend to get serious, and I do tend to get stressed easily with my life's doings and such, but more or less I don't let my emotions enter the roleplay. I'm strict to myself on these things. I do allow anyone to contact me for any reason, preferably a request to join a Roleplay, but it's not like you PM me saying "Ey yo mayn ye goin to de game own saterdey?" and you get a reply with (Beats your ass). My GM Oath
Those who do know me, especially from my past, it can present a very strong feeling to make you avoid me at all costs. The only thing you need to know, is that I have attempted to stop the wrong I have done, and here is what I promise.
In my roleplays, I will be the head GM, but I may allow lower GM's, or partner GM's (This may not be asked in a roleplay, just ask me)
I only control the original idea of the roleplay. I do not control you, your character, or his/her actions.
I will attempt to be extremely more flexible in my roleplays to allow more things, to an obvious extent. (Average limits used by other GM's, or just common sense)
I will not abuse my power as GM to destroy the hard work of those who participate in my roleplays.
I will not abuse the power of anything I create. (Or others create, this was here just in case of other thoughts)
I will be open-minded to any and all questions, requests, suggestions, or ideas.
I promise to listen to anyone that contacts me, no matter the person. Everyone deserves to be heard, in my opinion.
I will enforce uniform standards to everyone. I will not play favorites.
I only request that one attempts to be open-minded as well. I will say it again, I can not force you to do anything, especially things you do not want to.
Mainly science fiction, but I can do fantasy if I'm in the mood. Absolutely no "high school" dramadies, unless they include giant robots (a la Full Metal Panic). I prefer original settings, or original ideas and characters playing out in established settings (otherwise, why not just write fanfiction?)
I don't see why anyone would want to role-play a normal person. Real life is boring; I come here to escape it!
Preferred Type of Roleplay
Action - I feel most comfortable role playing when there's lots of fighting, mainly because that's what I cut my teeth on. It can't be all fighting though, as character interaction is what drives the story, but all-social roleplays aren't very exciting to me. As for romance...I have a 'take it or leave it' attitude.
Groups of 4-8 provide the best balance of variety and reliability, I believe. I've done large-scale battles and 1x1s, but the most successful and enjoyable thread I've participated in was a 4 person tournament-turned-battle-royale-turned-survival-horror fantasy/sci-fi mix. It was seriously epic.
I'm in my last semester of college, so I don't really have any excuse to screw around. That said, I need frequent breaks from the tedium that is school. Role playing allows me to keep my mind sharp while I have fun, as opposed to just watching anime or something. Once you have me sold on something, you'll find that I'm loyal and dedicated to keeping the roleplay alive and well.
My two main comfort zones are giant robots and psychics, as these are the most interesting to me. However, I could probably play almost any character. Not to brag, but I feel like one of my strengths is characterization; meaning that I can quickly get a feel for a character and portray them accurately. If needed I can provide examples.
Also, my preferred style of role play can best be described as "collaberative writing." It doesn't seem to be very popular, because it involves taking (limited) control of other people's characters. Obviously you aren't allowed to kill anyone off without permission, but it does streamline things a bit if you can find a group mature enough to handle it. Again, I can provide examples.

Sample of my latest "intro" from a group RP I GM called "The Rebellion"-
The first Rebellion pushed the ball into action. The working class felt a sense of power for the first time. They had united once and hopefully for all, to overthrow the blue-bloods from the golden thrones on top of their sore backs. Then a climatic event shattered that vision with bullets ripping into flesh and eating away at the slums. The second and third started again like the first, and the ball humped up the treacherous mountain side each time only to fail just before the peek, just before the final heave upward did the Government slam the working class back on their knees on the request of the wealthy.
To stave off anymore uprisings, the Government created a game: a Game of an alternate reality of fantastical adventures for the working class behind the blue-blood’s backs. The risk was paid off almost immediately. The Game subdued the working class for a few decades and thoughts of rebelling faded over time. It was almost a peaceful period.
Until a restlessness itched and scratched down their spines and boiled under their skins then finally burst out in fits of violence and anger. Gangs were once again forming in the slums. People became suspicious and whispered in dark corners. The police and soldiers soon were posted in the heavy civilizations of the slums to keep them in check. But a rumor, a whisper barely heard, sprung and spotted many minds.
A Rebellion was forming. A Rebellion was coming.
A Rebellion was here!
The dank gaming station was silent. Only the blinking lights of the many computers, blank monitors and empty units disrupted the darkness in the windowless hole of an abandoned building. The manager of the little private cluster of units sat behind his cluttered desk and blinked dully at his own personal computer and monitor set up. Not much was going on today nor the last three days. Heck, he hadn’t seen Palmar the past week which was unusually, extremely unusual. The blonde man always popped up here daily, mostly high off cigs, to play on the Game. It probably was some kind of stress reliever for him, like for most people here in the slums. The manager clicked his mouse on the digital card game before him. Maybe Palmar finally got caught by the police or soldiers, though the guy was a sneak, and with his bunch of friends, he’d easily get free from any grasp. . .
The patched door was flung open with a sudden bang; the bright sunlight seared in his eyes a lighted path of which dark and stumbling figures quickly filled. Palmar, the manager noted! He barely shifted when Palmar dropped his bleeding load on the dirty floor. This gang had a habit of bringing their wounded here. But Palmar’s gang had eight members, and all of them the manager knew by heart and could spot them out in a second in complete darkness. But he didn’t recognize the person staining his floor. The manager leaned forward in his rickety chair. Who was this kid then?
The bleeding stranger was decked out in heavy bruises. His face was barely recognizable and fresh red blood gushed from the nose down his chin and neck. The male attempted to push himself off the floor – bad move, the manager thought – and Palmar sent a hard kick to his abdomen. The kid didn’t move again either in fear or great pain.
“See, Jay?” Palmar gloated with an odd feverish glaze in his eyes. He was high and dangerous, the manager knew. “I told you, I could do it.” He laughed and the manager leaned back in his chair, watching critically. “Three days, I said. I’d get a blue-blood and play!” Though, really, Palmar had disappeared for a whole week to hunt down his prey. Palmar laughed again and fished the inside of his stained vest with a shaking hand. He pulled out a wade of cash and waved it in the manager’s face. “Two units for me and the noob.” Was his command.
The manager silently studied the green paper for a moment then glanced at the gasping kid, and back at the cash. In this digital city, hard cash was hard to find. Hard cash was untraceable. Hard cash was valuable.
“Two units.” The manager agreed. He stood and flicked on two full-body pods that connected the mind to the game. The several monitors angled on the walls above their heads clicked on to blank blue screens. The manager returned to his desk and pocketed his payment. He watched Palmar motion for one of his underlings to help heave the kid into the air while he pulled out a cheap cigarette from a paper wrapping. The manager watched as Palmar “accidently” skinned the bare calves of the kid on the sharp edges of the pod. The torn and strangely thick skin revealed a robotic shin. A blue-blood, the manager noted as he lighted his cigarette. He watched as the kid gave a last protest – a weak raise of the arms as the heavy lid of the pod was slammed down. There was a crunch and the lithe fingers of a hand twitched outside of the machine. The manager turned then and stepped outside into the light. His part was over. The kid was a blue-blood anyway.
Palmar giggled madly in his high and battered the full pod with his hands loudly. He sang a catchy tune as he adjusted himself in the second unit.
I’m going to kill a blue-blood! Oh, yes, dear mama! I’m gunna kill me a stinkin’ rich blue-blood!
The moment the pod closed on Palmar, the computers whirred and a few security monitors blinked to a fantastical setting, the rest flashed into a continuously running code of white letters and numbers against a blue background. A muffled scream arose from the blue-blood’s pod as the red dial at the feet of the pod flicked off and the green flicked on, seconds later, the screech was cut off suddenly and two figures blinked on the displaying monitors: a baffled priest and a manic knight.
The knight easily cut down the struggling priest above in the monitors in one quick motion. The priest gave a violent flinch as blood gushed from his chest wound and drenched his white robes in deep maroon. With a twitch of his hand, the priest sent a spell, intended or not, to the wild knight. It caused momentary paralysis of the brutal character, relieving a moment of escape for the priest, which he took immediately. But the moment he pushed off the ground onto his feet, he collapsed to his knees. The knight shook off the paralysis and charged once more, and the priest raised his hands again in hopes of conjuring another helpful spell.
The knight and priest battled to a quick death with the knight inflicting just-so incisions on the digital blue-blood to extend their fight. All the while alarming gurgling noises and tendrils of grey smoke arose from the blue-blood’s pod.

Preferred Category [Beg, Cas, Adv, etc]: I would like to consider myself advanced, but mayhaps something more along the lines of a high-causual, borderline Advanced? I dunno, some of you seem to put me to shame, and I've not had a challenging rp in well.... ever.
Preferred Genres: This... this is a tricky one. All genre's generally hold a 'potential' to become interesting rp's, especially for the player who likes pretty much anything. What I Don't like is anything that has to do with mushy high school scenes, or the RP's where people think it's okay to take the awesome concept of the cool, sadistic undead, and turn them into glittery emo's. Not cool.
Now, that said; Sci-Fi, Medieval Fantasy, Historical Medieval, Feudal Japan ( Not Inuyasha ), Feudal China, Feudal ( Insert Idea Here ), Anything Generally Original and deviates from the norm though such a thing is extremely rare. There's probably more, but right now I can't think straight. Just woke up >.< Oh yeah, those little 'Build your nation by picking numbers on a map and attacking each other through RP.... yeah, that looks interesting. I wanna be in one of those. Linkh MEH!!!
Preferred type of play [OnexOne, etc]: Preferred style of play... what can I say, I'm willing to do it all. One on One is alright, so long as the other person is on the same page as me, and we're able to keep an rp going fairly decently. Have done so offline with my wife, and we had some.... interesting things going to say the least.
I CAN Rp on my own as a Read Only style rp, though I must say that gets boring quick. I like having complete control over what I do, but at the same time, I love the input and interaction from other players. So, next?
Small group rp is certainly the best ( 4-5 people ) where confusion is greatly limited and everyone can be more or less at least on the same page. A little more interaction, less friction, and less posters, decreasing the waiting time in between while ultimately generating more rp. It should ( If everyone is agreeable and of the same skill ) also prevent the rp from dying out if it has an 'ultimate end' that the rp is heading towards.
Closed hard core rp storylines are always intriguing, so long as they are well thought out and have a hardcore experianced rper calling the shots. Know what you want in your rp, or I'm liable to take it over unwittingly. It's not intentional, and no hard feelings are intended, but I know what I seek to achieve in any rp I join in, and will certainly bring much to the table. Foreshadowed events is my specialty.
Open ended, whatever goes RP is also interesting, due to the fact that numerous minds are welcome, and everyone can bring their own input to the rp.
Extra information: Be sure and let me know ahead of time if it's a hardcore 'follow the guidelines' rp, because I do have a tendecy to make deviations from what the GM may or may not like in their rp. If things aren't going at a consistant rate, and it seems to me as though your rp is kinda 'unrealistic' ( I put great stock in the consistancy of technological advancement.... our starships are no longer cardboard and christmas light ), then I suppose I'll have to let you know before I start posting an 'alternate' history which involves my character. I may think it goes along with the storyline, but lack of communication will make it otherwise. I also tend to overshadow others if they are not up to par with my skills, so don't feel alarmed or inadaquate. For me, it's all about the flow of the story, and the information output that puts readers and players more in tune with the overall storyline. Ultimately, I like for everyone to have an enjoyable experiance. If you don't like what I do, kindly inform me, and I have no problem withdrawing from the rp. Otherwise, firm rules should be stated in the original interest check as to how the 'history' of the storyline is, and what is and is not allowed. This saves us all a lot of confusion, hard feelings, and ultimately will ensure that we eliminate as many 'bumps' along the road as possible.

Preferred Type of Play: One-on-One or Group
- If a post is well-written and provides progression, it is sufficient, regardless of length.
- I do not mind waiting a week or two for responses. I understand that sometimes procrastination, forgetfulness or other activities get the best of us.
- I play both male and female characters. I do not believe my own gender is a criterion for subsequent role-play, nor is any other player’s gender.
- Romance is no necessity, yet I am not opposed to it. I feel it must build naturally between the characters, or have proper context within the plot, and it is rarely if ever an end in and of itself.
- I have no aversions to adult themes be they physical, sexual, verbal or controversial. I handle these situations with maturity and anticipate equal maturity in return. Speaking plainly, please get your kicks elsewhere if you’re role-playing for any sort of non-writing related gratification.
