Preferred Genres: I'm very open when it comes to genres. I, however, will not do fanon or any pre-established canon-universe. I also do not do hard-fantasy or hard-sci fi (low-level fantasy and sci fi are fine, though).
Preferred type of play: One-on-one or small groups of four or less are preferred.
Extra information: I'm not a grammar nazi, but I enjoy reading posts that I understand (if there are so many grammatical errors that it destroys the meaning, I'm not interested).
Character and plot are very important to me. I used to roleplaying multiple characters at a time.
I'm used to play-by-posting over instant messengers, so I like quick posting speed.
When I roleplay, my first post is usually very long, intent on establishing a character. After that, I my posts tend to vary in length, depending on what is required by the story (any where from a few paragraphs, to a few lines).
My favorite genre is one where the supernatural might exist, but nothing definitively supernatural ever occurs. A world that makes you wonder whether the paranormal is all around us, or if nothing is supernatural at all.
I do have a few basic character-archetypes that I prefer (i.e. strong women, bad-ass adolescent boys, quirky girls, morally-ambiguous old men), but I am by no means bound by them.

Preferred Genres: Any but MxM, Incest (Step-siblings don't count), Beasiality (Furry don't count), and Necro.
Preferred type of play [OnexOne, etc]: I really enjoy 1x1, but I can do about any type.
Extra information: When it comes to RPs that require PMs, I have no boundaries except those listed above. I will only play the Male character except in one exception. That exception, you will have to PM me for. I also have quite a few ideas that only those as twisted as I am would enjoy. These are all for 1X1's though.....

Preferred Category: Advanced is preferred, casual on occasion. Not a one-liner sort of person.
Preferred Genres: Oh dear, it's a long list: Science fiction; alternate universe, post-apocalypse, dystopian future (authoritarian government), steam punk. Historical; realistic or with supernatural twists (love medieval, WWII, Roaring 20s, 1950s). Supernatural: Vampires/Werewolves, Ghosts/Ghouls, A haunted house, but it has to have an overall theme/plot to it. Not just random creatures meeting up. Survival...and the list goes on.
Preferred type of play: Group (no more than 5 normally, but will do larger groups if I understand what is going on and am invited) and 1x1
Extra information:
I'm a plot monger. Gotta love a roleplay with such in-depth story lines and character development.
If an RP interests me, but there is a lot of detail, beware because I will have tons of questions just to make sure I understand what is going on.
Also, I prefer well written posts; grammar, content, thought put into it.
Some of my characters have been around for a long time. So they aren't subject to stray too far from their original set-up though they are subject to develop along a story line. New ones might and probably will be weaker, but I promise to try and develop them as much as possible. To point where they reside in my brain for years to come.
